Hello from Melbourne, I remember seeing your business name and wondered where you went. So many have come and gone in this area its nice to hear you didnt just become dust in the wind.
I live an hour away and will be there at least two days. Throw in a couple of extra days and you can hit the Mouse House as well. Nothing like a tourist trap to empty your wallet. See ya there
Hello and welcome from Florida
As long as your not doing car wraps the 300 should do you fine.
If you buy it new try to find a distributor that will give you some training and support.

Welp here is a side by side of the carbon I created on the right in photoshop and real carbon sheeting image from a supplier on the left. I have blown this image up large enough to wrap a hood. From 2 feet away you cant tell with the exception of the more uniform lines of the photoshop version...
Every software has its bumps, versaworks has some color issues for me that I havent quite figured out. Flexi profiles seem to print closer to Pantone selections but I dont know if that is just my setup or if others are seeing the same thing.
How much hard drive space do you have available on your main partition.
I had the same problem due to my main partition being too small for all the stuff I had on it.
Little partition magic fixed that and I havent had a problem since.
Hope this helps.
Its all about scale
Mark and George are correct your going to want to design to scale hence the part about trying it a few times. Ive printed it and it looks great. 2 to 5 feet away and you really cant tell especially if you are good enought to add shadows to whatever it is your sticking it to...

I have seen a big difference in some of the colors when printing from flexi vs versaworks. I have stuck with flexi so I could keep my colors consistant as I havent had time to do a lot of color testing. Flexi seems to print closer to what photoshop is presenting from what I can tell.

In your property setting, File, Edit, Properties.
You will have to the option to set your memory allocation and scratch disks.
Scratch disks are basically Photoshops doodle page. Moving the scratch disk to another drive removes it from taking resources from your main drive.
I am running...
Are you running your scratch disk on the same drive as your application? You may want to check your memory allocation to PS.
I am running 4 Gig on mine and I have occasionally gotten the same error a while back, allocating more memory to PS, adding drives and moving the scratch disk locations...
Do you shut down your main power at all? I used to do this thinking power surges could destroy my precious printer but Roland printers cycle every so often to keep the print head from clogging and it cost me dearly. Not trying to scare you but this caused my printer to band like that and it took...
Granted. So are the lines appearing during a run where the first few are good and it progressively gets worse or is it now when you print you always get the lines?
The best resource in the world. Google CS2 tutorial free and your subject. it has been a wealth of knowledge for me.
From the sounds of it you should just be able to sandwich your image layer between your background and transparent tiff. you shouldnt have to adjust the transparency thats the...
