Yes, I have done the head soaking procedure many times and never had any problem, also I have NEVER had any leak like this in my printer, it's not a virgin anymore. It may be possible, my clamp was not sealing 100%, maybe I should use a stronger clamp, just didn't want to hurt the black tube...

This sounds dumb, but have you checked the BREAKER powering the circuit for the printer? Remove the AC cord from the printer and check for voltage at the printer end (connector) with multi-meter to make sure power is getting to the printer. If power is coming to the printer, you may have blown...

Is not using a CROSSOVER cable specific to this dual printer set-up? Because, I only have one Roland printer connected to my PC by Ethernet, and I was thinking I am using a CROSSOVER cable between my printer and PC???????????
