Yes, the napkins worked, but I now have the proper pads back in the machine. It surprised me how long it took to get someone to send them to me. Calgraph tried telling me I need to buy the try also for $100.
On Oracal 3651 I most always use Graphics 1, it's somewhat slow but look very good.
For most basic(text and/or simple graphics) banners, I print on Banner 4, for nicer images I use Graphics 1.
Not so sure I would completely agree with that after this mornings dealings with Production Manager. It doesn't seem to do so well with a PDF that contains raster elements with transparency over vector elements (fully or partially).

I am looking at a laminator and a local vendor is trying to sell me a D&K.
I need to be able to encapsulate & the 1/2" mounting ability will do fine for me. I'm mostly curious about the reliability but any other thoughts/tips/experience would be helpful.

I don't see much chatter about the VJ-1204 take-up so I thought I would ask. I bought one with my machine & couldn't see running without one, but some of the pictures I have seen posted don't show it.
Just curious why one wouldn't get it(other than $)...
I had a similar problem with my ValueJet so I did a head cleaning then ran a print with 4 large patches, on for each ink, at 100% on each, then another cleaning. All was well after that.
Adding a stroke in illustrator is as easy as selecting a color for it & setting the thickness. I tend to copy the text to be outlined and place it over the original then set the stroke thickness and color on the bottom one. Group them.
ValueJet Owners where are you getting your waste fluid boxes? The local guy here says it's $97 for one & Signwarehose sales doesn't have them in the system.
Seems a bit pricey for a sponge & some plastic. Guess they gotta make up for the low sales price.
