I don't think its because were illiterate boobs. I think it has a lot to do with texting making too many of us lazy.. At least for me it does.
All of our phones finish and spell our words for us... Its made me less likely to keep a eye on my post grammar and or spelling...
You can get a used JV3 for 6K, (well in the states you can). Or you can put the 6K down on a mimaki or roland. You can save up another 4-5K and start looking for a used JV33.
I made the mistake of getting an "entry level" printer. I out grew it in a couple of months and had to start looking...

Mutoh reds are good, if you have the right profile. I couldn't get Flexi 7.5 with the canned profiles to print a good red on my Mutoh, but Onyx would straight out of the box.

FedEx has had wide format printers for a long time (36-48"), but I didnt know they're subbing out "signage". Just seen this video showing Magnetic's, cut vinyl, plastic/metal signage, large-format "up to 10' wide" and lamination/mounting.

I still have an old VE 61, I get up to 50' (1/4" +/-) ... And no, Im not lying either. I pull the slack from the roller under the cutter and match up with the vinyl in front of the cutter. Its a good way to quadruple check the set up. If you off just a TINNY bit, this will show it.
