  4. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I read somewhere that they will finish a pipeline this year that will allow ships not to go through the Strait of Hormuz. If we could drill in more places we could eliminate a lot of our dependency on middle east oil. Our government won't allow drilling off the coast of Florida. But 40 miles...
  5. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I quit reading when I saw who wrote this. Does speculation raise the price of oil...yep. Someone promised to put a stop to that when he was elected...................
  6. Test Print means what?

If you are using Roland colors, try using the closest Pantone match, I was trying to match a light blue and kept getting banding and a grainy look, switched to pantone and it printed properly.
  7. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

If we go with no deductions, would that affect your next equipment purchase since you wouldn't be able to expense/deduct it from gross income? It would for me, unless with no deductions you lower the tax rate also.
  8. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I agree the big guys shouldn't be able to lobby for their own gain. Top 30 American companies that pay no income taxes, hmm I wonder why no oil companies on this list. Ohh Exxon did pay some taxes. Exxon Mobil paid $8 billion in income taxes in the first quarter on $18.9 billion of...
  9. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I'm saying the oil companies get the same or less deductions any other American business gets. They prosper because of volume. Same reason a company like Merritt has millions a year in sales and I don't. Should Merritt have their tax deductions taken away because they are successful? If...
  10. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

A lot of folks here talk about the oil companies being subsidized, $4 billion last year. What subsidies are there for the oil companies? Every manufacturer in America get's a nine percent discount on profits...except for oil companies, they get 6%. Oil companies are allowed to deduct 70% of...
  11. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

Saudi announced that last month it would increase production to make up for Iran being blocked from exporting to Europe. Syria has imported more oil than it exports since 2009.
  12. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

The leases go back to government after five years except for deep water leases which go back to the government after ten years if not developed. According to the Times article, Exxons profit margin is less than 10%. Compare that to drug companies...or Apple. Or your business. Could you keep...
  13. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

When an oil company leases an area, they hope it contains oil. After they lease it then they can begin exploration. After exploration then they drill test wells. They may lease a 2,000 acre block and only find recoverable oil on 100 acres of that block. The rest does not contain enough oil to...
  14. Price of gasoline, petroleum.. etc.

I think the price will go higher. Production in the gulf is down 30%. I spoke with someone last weekend who had just been laid off along with 180 otheres, he works for a company that drills in the gulf but only in shallow water. They have 50 wells to drill but only getting one or two drilling...
  15. Anyone have a source for a F1600 Formula F template?

This might help if you can copy the drawing at the bottom, it's a Swift FF. There are many different manufacturers, if you need a certain model I'm sure the dealers or the manufacturer can provide a side view at least. Lot's of compound curves in these cars...
  16. Partial wrap chevy Volt, No idea where to price it at.

Don't give them any ideas......... The average income of a Chevy Volt owner is $170,000 a year, charge accordingly
  17. Phototex fail

I used phototex to make some contour cut numbers for a Corvette owner who would attend some autocrosses and track days. They worked great for autocross but on the track they blew off at 140 mph....he was kind of proud of that ha ha
  18. Are we really in a recession???

Things pretty much suck around here. Our local college has projects but no money to fund them. The school board for public schools has projects but no money to fund them. My biggest offshore customer was Exxon/Mobil I was doing stencils for the helipads on the offshore platforms, when the...
  19. Trailer sign

Saw one like that flipping and bouncing down the road in a thunderstorm. Your customer better make sure he has outriggers or a way to tie the trailer down.
  20. Father teaches daughter a lesson about Facebook

When I grew up I didn't get paid for household chores, when I helped my dad in the fields I got paid. That's how I raised by son. When a child thinks they are entitled to something, they probably will think the same way as an adult.
