  4. Help or advice with printing vectors?

As long as there are no PS effects on the smart objects here is the solution: Just create a new PS doc with the same dimensions as the original ( i mean same as the final size). it should be full size @ 72 or 100 dpi. Then copy all the smart object layers over to the new doc (either drag and...
  5. Flexi and Vista?

Actually I think it was v8.0 that was "officially" vista compatible. I run vista ultimate x64 and flexi 8.1v1 with out a hitch.
  6. Print and cut off by 1/32"

The Rolands are just as solid as any other print cut machine. Its just that they need lots of TLC (read:adjustments/calibration). Ask you local Roland tech for the keystrokes to put the machine into maintenance mode. There are some print cut adjustments that can make those machines cut spot on.
  7. Do you leave your computer on 24/7?

I used to leave em on ALL the time. only rebooting when needed. But I have been helping some folks trim back on expenses in their stores. And one of the stores says she cliped a hundy or so of the top of her utilities just by shutting down the PCs in the shop. I was like WOW (or like Whoa: only...

  9. Contour cutting from photoshop to flexi

I assumed you had the flexi part figured out. Once you save the graphic, you need to import it into flexi as well. Then place the outline over your graphic. Then as I mentioned before use the outline as you contour shape.
  10. Contour cutting from photoshop to flexi

  13. Designers? Any competent ones out there?

What he said! All these guys that call them selves designers don't have a clue. In their mind, as long it it looks good in 2d (meaning onscreen) they think its ok. That could not be the furthest thing from the truth. I learned the hard way working in a 5 man shop that turned in one ( that one...
  14. Does anyone know how to do this?

I think i understand what your asking. Yes it is in the pro version. EDIT > JOB INFO. Once all the data is there then when you use the templates, they will pull the data from the job info area. If you pull up the templates tool bar you will find a ton of other useful variables that you can...
  15. pdf

+1. This si what i do all the time. If its a print there is no reason to go to flexi. That is if you have a separate rip application (versawork, colorip, postershop etc)
  16. Versaworks Multiples?

Or just gang up your image in what ever design program you are using. Flexi sign has a great step and repeat function in the arrange menu.
  17. Toshiba p35 gettin new screen ebay

Lucky you! I paid 700 to have my screen replaced (with some other things) on my old Toshiba Satellite Pro a couple years back. In hindsight the repair was more than the unit was worth. I wish SignBurst would get into building High End Laptops *plug/hint for Casey*
