  1. Mutoh 1614 Head Assembly Vibration while printing - E074 CR Current Error

Here's a link to the speed reduction belt if you need to replace it. Missing teeth can definitely cause issues. Here's a link to the carriage but I would leave that to last in your troubleshooting efforts!
  2. Anyone have the Mutoh 1641SR Pro yet?

As far as I can tell the new head is an Epson I1600 print head. They print 3.8pl - 8.7pl which might seem high compared to a DX7 but keep in mind that the DX7 head had 180 nozzles per inch where the I series has 300. The I series also has a longer print area at 1.33" instead of 1" so each...
  3. Mutoh 1614 Head Assembly Vibration while printing - E074 CR Current Error

Unfortunately the bearings only come with a new carriage from Mutoh. I have had a few customers track them down overseas though so they are out there if you need them. I'm sure you don't want to spend $600+ for bearings!
  4. Mutoh 1614 Head Assembly Vibration while printing - E074 CR Current Error

It could just be the bearings on the carriage are bad. That's a fairly old machine so I wouldn't be surprised. It could also just be a bad encoder or sensor. One thing you can try that might fix the issue right away is to tighten the speed reduction belt. You just loosen the motor, pull it...
  5. New to all this

We carry the heads here in the US. Feel free to contact us and we can help troubleshoot. Maybe you don't need a head in the first place!
  6. Discussion Does anyone know Mutoh Vertelith RIP?

Guess I haven't been to training in a while!
  7. Converting to dye sub

It's a known issue with the CD. Uninstall Rasterlink then go download it from Mimaki's website instead and install that way.
  8. Discussion Does anyone know Mutoh Vertelith RIP?

Never heard of it. It might be an EU only thing. They still use Flexi over here in the US.
  9. Opinions on JV100-160

Mimaki is very tight lipped about the heads but all I've heard they're Brother heads from many other techs.
  10. Onyx Rip wont rip certain file

5GB of RAM is an odd number. That usually means something is up with the hardware.
  11. Light banding?

Surecolors use dual channel dampers like the ones in a lot of DX7 based printers like the Mutoh ValueJet 1624 and the Roland VS540. Epson is notorious for putting small parts together into a larger assembly and only selling that as a replacement which is the case with the Surecolors. So it does...
  12. Mimaki cap adjustment help

The latching position and capping position are actually two different things. For the capping position you just want the center of the flange to be about 3mm to the right of the top of the ramp where it plateaus. As long as the cap is making full contact with the head in the area, you're good...
  13. crazy question

It all depends on the plotting software but a lot of them cut based on when the element was created in the order of all elements, or it cuts by layer etc. Mimaki's have a, "Sort" function that sorts it in the most efficient way but most plotting software has the same function and might call it...
  14. Opinions on JV100-160

Oh yeah Mimaki's bottle system is way better! Hopefully they switch to that here in the US!
  15. Opinions on JV100-160

It prints great and is a solid machine but my customers so far absolutely hate the ink system. Instead of simply inserting a cartridge, you have to take the old one out, remove the empty bag, weight the new bag and input that into the printer, install the new bag into the cartridge, then install...
  16. Light banding?

That's usually a sign of failing dampers.
  17. Graphtec FC7000 vs FC8600

They don't make parts for the FC7000 anymore so you would need to source them from used machines. Not the end of the world as these machines last a very long time but something to keep in mind.
  18. So Frustrated Please Help

With these machines you can almost never rule anything out but in my experience, when the power board goes out on a ValueJet it usually just doesn't turn on, or it turns on for a few seconds and then turns off. I'm thinking the main board will do the trick. The power board connects to the main...
  19. A few questions on efficiency with new HP Latex printer

The answer to 1 is simply add the jobs into the production manager individually, select all the jobs you want to print at the same time, then just right click and select, "Nest." Flexi will nest them for you but you can go in and rearrange them if you want.
  20. So Frustrated Please Help

I think it's definitely a main board issue so trying the other board could do the trick. The fact that it's trying to do something and freezing tells me that the CPU or related parts are failing. It might just be bad memory too. If the other board has a memory board in it, try swapping it into...
