  3. intermittent faded streaks

I have seen this coming up more and more lately. Seems that about every 12-18" I get a faded looking streak that is about an inch wide. What is this? Could this be a pump issue? I have attached a photo showing what is happening.
  4. Bulk ink system for Roland SP540 versacamm

Thanks Gary. I hope that I can find the best of both worlds. Will look into the JetBest inks.
  5. Bulk ink system for Roland SP540 versacamm

Supply55 I like what I am seeing regarding the bulk system. These are much simpler than I last remembered. Roland having a bulk ink system is like HP having anything refillable for their desktop printers. Selling the cartridge ink is their lifeline. I am using the 20/20 ink from Grimco...
  6. Bulk ink system for Roland SP540 versacamm

bulk ink system is the question No need to argue the merits of 3rd party inks; I have used them successfully for at least 7 years. Do any of you use a bulk ink system? If so, what kind and what is your opinion of them? The thread is about bulk ink systems not 3rd party inks!:banghead:
  7. Bulk ink system for Roland SP540 versacamm

More info What is your question? Digital printing, Roland versacamm SP540 printer, bulk ink system, Supply55 dealer, eco-sol inks. Cartridges are horizontal. Would like to know what bulk system is used successfully by users. I do print to vinyl, etc. like most others. Do you have such a...
  8. Bulk ink system for Roland SP540 versacamm

Anyone had any experience with the bulk system from Supply55? We are printing with a Roland Versacamm SP540 with eco-sol inks. Price is good for a horizontal cartridge setup. :thankyou:
  9. Question for owners of Lassco CR-50B

I have one which we have had for many years. You can do .040 and can beat the hell out of .063 but .080....no way. Stick with light gauge to preserve the dies. We use 1/2" and 1". We use it all the time and WOULDN'T do metal signs without it.
  10. Hello from Mississippi

Welcome poboy from your neighbor to the East...Alabama. I went to HS in Natchez and college at USM. Mississippians are my kinda' people!
  11. Disposing of overflow Eco-Sol Max ink

Yeaaaa...at least I don't have to call a plumber to clean out the droppings left by certain employees. I think maybe a nice tie dye collection would be a good use. Why throw it away when we can squeeze some more use from it.
  12. Colorcamm

I think iSign hit the nail on the head when he said about the ColorCamm "not intending to get used for profit". I was never truly competitive against anyone with real digital capabilities when I had my PC-60. The headaches far exceeded the satisfied smiles.
  13. Colorcamm

I had a PC-60 a few years ago and thought it was good for making die cut decals and small multi-color prints. The biggest problem I had was printhead failures; expensive, expensive. If you want to be competitive with other digital printers this is not going to do it. Get the refills from...
  14. Versaworks color density level

Profiles come from Versaworks and they do match the media. I am assuming that you goof are saying that matte is more durable than gloss; this would be nice if I don't want to laminate everything...and I don't. What then does the density level adjustment do for the printing?
  15. Versaworks color density level

I have been having a problem with the 100% black smearing even after 24 hours. I am wondering if the coverage is so dense that the ink will not thoroughly set. What will the "density level" adjustment in Versaworks do to coverage? I am using EcoSol Max inks and compatible media. Are there other...
  16. Ebay think twice before buying LFP printers

Tough story. I have bought and sold several large printers in the 1000's of dollars and can tell you that you ALWAYS use American Express for these purchases. They will handle your claim and return the money. I think you are throwing good money after bad at this point.
  17. old equipment

I see that you are in Shreveport. I talked with someone there a few months ago who was selling their VersaCamm 540V. She wanted too much for it at the time but if it is still available and she wants less it would be a good idea to get a cutter/printer like the VersaCamm. If you want to start...
  18. Roland SP-540V??

I bought the 540V from a dealer about 2 months ago for $16,500. We did the setup ourselves and bought ink. Your deal is much better. Jump on that one. Dealer is likely just trying to clear out his inventory to make way for the faster unit. You can print banner quality at 114 s/f per hour so...
  19. Getting started short list

Long ago I got tired of replacing soft table tops so I got thin sheets of sheetmetal for my tops. You can put grooves in them with your exacto but you won't EVER have to replace them. I don't do much vinyl anymore as we are all digital but the tables still get a workout. Best place to get the...
