I agree, I was going to say it was probably done by hand, but if they were just established in 2019 I doubt that. It's some font someone got really creative with.
Could the unfortunate event somehow raised the head height? I'm not familiar with that printer, but I see this "effect" when i have the head raised too high - overspray I think
Try slowing it down... that usually fixes it for me on our Summa. I also turn it off, and then back on (summa get's glitchy sometimes, but a reset usually solves the problem)
That's what I think of when someone calls it "foam core"... paper faced board with a foam core.
What else could it be? (honest question - I don't presume to know every thing about all substrates in existence).
My Butterfly is really close - everything but the capital "B"... maybe that was embellished later? It has alternate characters, but it doesn't look like the B is one of them

When I'm doing 2-sided prints on the Epson, I mark on the media where the little holes in the media clips are then use push pin to poke holes in them to line up with the holes for the starting point for the back side. I usually have a bleed for the back side, and as long as we center the print...
We typically print them on vinyl and laminate it with Dry Erase (aka anti-graffiti lam). Then mount to ACM or Ultraboard. If they don't want the dry-erase, then I would probably print it on 8 or 12mil poster. We currently have one in our breakroom/conference room direct UV printed to Ultraboard.

Yes. Solvent inks need to out gas and cure for a day. Or you shouldn't warranty results like you sold your customer a good product.
