  1. Fire Department Shield with Eco-Sol

I'd take a smaller piece of engine turn and apply it to your standard roll of white vinyl and load it into the machine. Run your print file so it prints across both surfaces and you can compare quality and durabilty to standard printing without wasting a lot of valuable SignGold. Just a...
  2. Need Help Identifiying this font please

    Looks like Nayala!
  3. A little banner help maybe?

thanks N2 - sorry if my details were hazy at first. I'm starting to think the manufacturers are giving up to color printers. Remember when you would get banner swatch books with something like 40 colors? Now you're lucky if you can get 6. lol
  4. A little banner help maybe?

yes - of course I am joking. Second, I am not doing these in cut vinyl, I'm having them screen printed as opposed to digitally printing them. I get a VERY good price on my screen printing. I've been doing this for a very long time and I'm aware of where my pricing sits for the various...
  5. A little banner help maybe?

Wait, how did you know Heath? But its all cool, he's a minister and he wouldn't screw me over, right?
  6. Foamcore vs Gatorfoam...

I am with the posters who favor ultraboard. Not quite as dent proof as the Gator, but certainly wont warp or damage as easy as foamcore. It usually prices in the middle of the two and is much easier to work with than the gator (plus, no edges of death - I actually have scars from Gatorboard)...
  7. A little banner help maybe?

printing is out primarily because of cost, time and quality issues. All of the pricing is based on what they have received in the past. If this was a new job I would have a lot more options, unfortunately they are looking for a matching product. But I appreciate the recommendation.
  8. Roland 3rd party ink choices or feedback

I have not used BioMG inks, but I have tried other 3rd party replacements for the Eco-Sols (Bordeaux). I was very happy with the color output, drying time, etc., but they did not trip the low ink alert on the printer and the cartridges would run dry. This really screwed things up with our...
  9. A little banner help maybe?

Hi All - I have a customer who is looking for a pretty large number of banners so printing them is out, but unfortunately they need a fairly tough to find background color for the banner - process blue or cyan. We've done these for them in the past - but the supplier we got the material from...
  10. sp 300i

We use an SP300 in the shop here and I absolutely love it. We got it used so there is no dealer support - but that hasn't really mattered since in the three years that we have owned it it hasn't had more than a day of down time (the one day we DID have to change the pump which seems to be a...
  11. Printing on magnetics with my Versacamm

oops- sorry, guess the OP was jtrube.
  12. Printing on magnetics with my Versacamm

jjones - While I have not really gotten involved with the whole printing on magnetic thing (I have the head-strike fear as well) I do have colleagues who have had a lot of success with it. I believe the fuzziness is caused by the material going through more slowly because the heater plate is...
  13. Technical Help

Just an update - I looked into Logmein.com first just because it was a web service that required very little setup and I think it will work exactly how I need it to. I'm going to keep the other suggestions handy in case I run into any snags, but the Logmein is nice because it doesn't require...
  14. Technical Help

Awesome advice everyone! I will look into the suggestions then post results. BTW, which of these programs will make my work PCs weed and tape? ;)
  15. Technical Help

I realize this is going outside the realm of our expertise, but stick with me I'm sure there is someone here who can point me in the right direction. At our office I have 5 PCs networked together and it works great for file sharing, running the different printers, and supporting the pricing...
