We have 2 S80600's. I don't do anything special to keep them running perfectly, the auto cleanings they do have been enough for years, and then when it tells you to do the head maintenance, do it. Sometimes they'll sit for weeks at a time, and will print perfectly right away.

With those Roand's (and Mimaki's too), it's always more efficient to have prints lined up in the scan direction first (head travel direction), before adding more copies in the feed direction (table travel direction).

I don't think you can adjust it without digging into the service menu/program. It cleans often enough to keep working well, but not so often that it wastes a bunch of ink if that's a concern to you.
