  1. Which one?

I like "A" or "D" but preferably "A". I think MILL on 66 is the important copy and that stands out very well. It does on "D" as well but with a trade off of having the "THE" poking into the pictorial a bit. That's no real biggie but I like the straight-line, bottom border under the pic better...
  2. vinyl for cinder block wall- 6 month-1 year warranty?

We just ordered some ARLON DPF 8000 for an interior cement block was that is painted with latex. We also plan to use on an exterior cement block wall painted with latex. Same as you mentioned, 7 year outdoor for plain vinyl with no ink on it. (Actual mileage will vary depending on your ink and...
  3. How often do you get this................. ??

I bought this shirt but since then I got fat and now I can't wear it. What can of credit can you give me on it. hahaha Really, I think you handled that extremely well. A simple phone number and you sealed the deal with no bad feelings. :thumb:
  4. Monday Rant

There is hardly anything in the world that someone can't make a little worse and sell a little cheaper - and people who consider price alone are this man's lawful prey. -John Ruskin 1819-1900
  5. Tire Company Repaint

Very nice job Jill. The overall layout and the font choice for the legend specifically are examples of your great talents. I haven't hand lettered anything in over 12 years. I really miss it. When I started you had to have a can of paint and a brush to make a sign. There's nothing like being...
  6. gaspoweredskillsaw

All through that video I was hoping like crazy that he had the blade set low enough, and was sawing down the dead center of that board, so that when he finished the cut the whole thing, sawhorse included, fell in two. Would that have been awesome or was the very thought of it a latent result of...
  7. Sign company put road sign in front of my shop !

ronl1975, from the looks of the picture you attached to your original post I'd say it's appropriately placed now.

We use Signs365 for all our needs they can cover. Great quality and great service.
  9. Need vinyl that will stick to latex painted drywall and cement block exterior

boxer yeah, compared to the cost of the Alumigraphics stuff it's practically free. hahaha. A 53" x 75 foot roll is over $1300. Of course it doesn't require an over laminate. Just go off the phone with another Alumigraphics rep who promised a call back earlier and his response was timely. I...
  10. Need vinyl that will stick to latex painted drywall and cement block exterior

That video made it sound more permanent than the 6 months the sales rep told me. Plus, he showed a tip/trick to keep the edge from curling. Editing this post as I just checked Sun Supply Inc.'s online catalog, (I don't yet know where to buy the 8000) and it says it has a 5 year outdoor...
  11. Need vinyl that will stick to latex painted drywall and cement block exterior

I went to Arlon's site and then called them. I was told that the DPF 8000, although highly aggressive, is only intended for 6 mos. outdoor and that beyond that it will shrink and the edges will likely curl. However, they did suggest a cast vinyl 6000XRP which is their vehicle wrap product to...
  12. Need vinyl that will stick to latex painted drywall and cement block exterior

We have two jobs coming up that we need to print and contour cut and apply to latex painted walls. One is interior cement block along with latex painted drywall and the other job is exterior cement block. One job requires 10" letters, all CAPS, of Cachet, Std, Bold which has all rounded...
  13. The MOTHER of all Mothers............................

At first glance her "Amphitheater" looks like Anteater.
  14. What files/artwork to give clients?

Ever since I saw the article below I've pretty much followed it's suggestions. There's a link to the web page at the end of the article... What Should You Get From Your Logo Designer...
  15. What file-types do you accept for customer supplied "logos"

We accept anything and charge to make it useable. I'm surprised at how many customers will rather pay the recreation fee rather than track down a good file that they already own.
  16. Large Quantity Lettering

I wouldn't want to pick up and stack 6000 10" x 3" pieces let alone weed them.
  17. What's your planned schedule for the 4th?

Working Friday. I have a job trailer that someone hand painted about 15 years ago. Paint is fading. I'm just going over it. Kinda like a paint-by-number coloring book. It has to drive away Monday morning.
  18. Inks Read Near End on new cartridges.

I had this happen with a new Seiko cartridge on our HP 8000s. Grimco immediately sent a replacement on my word with instructions to send the faulty one back later upon their request. It's the only time something like that happened but once is too often.
  19. good video on type

    Loved it. Thanks!
  20. tiff files come in as nothing or shut software down

In Flexi, instead of "place" you would "import". Might try that.
