we are a fairly large sign company and have been in business for almost 30 years but in that time we have turned down almost all request for pylon sign creation simply because we didn't have the experienced fabricators to actually make the sign itself. We are now looking to move into that area...
We have been asked to make some can letters but they want them to be lit from the front and reverse halo lit. I can make the letters and figured how to make them reverse halo lit but not how to make them both. I would need a shape in the middle of the letter to mount the leds facing forward...
I have a couple "customer supplied" pieces that I need to send to the printer and have it cut out. I can do it in Illustrator but no idea on how to do it in photoshop. I have looked online and cant find anything that directly tells how to do it. Is there a way to add a stroke and give it a...
I have a Harley Davidson a customer wants cut in chrome vinyl exactly like the old one but I am having a hard time finding the font they used. It isn't a great picture but it gives an idea.
We are getting into making channel letters and have seen small printers that will print the bending points on a strip of paper but I was wondering if there is a plug in or a piece of software that can print this out for you? We currently use a piece of paper and follow the shape marking it as...
I have run into this situation a couple times and it is always an issue. I can design graphics for the back of a van and it looks great on screen everything is straight but when they install the contravision on the back window of a van the text isnt straight because of the curve of the back...
We have a new Roland Vs-540 and we have all the profiles we need and they all work great except for the Avery 1005. I cannot get a good print at all and I have been on the phone with my supplier, Avery and even had my tech in and no luck. I am hoping someone has a profile that works and could...
I have had my fill of Avery and their film and am looking for good alternative. We have been using the Avery 1005EZ for some time for vehicle graphics and all was ok for a time but recently it seems to all have gone to crap. We can no longer get a good print, lots of banding, blacks are grey...
We are looking for a good translucent film to print on to. We have used Arlon 6500 in the past but it is rather expensive and we have tried a tru-stock film that works ok. We primarily have used a cast film for this but was told by one sales rep that calendared film works just as well but our...
For some reason and I don't know why something has changed in my illustrator that when I have a file open and I go to open another file my window minimizes, not to the task bar but shrinks in size so I have to maximize it and all my panels on the right side are all collapsed. Not a big issue...
We recently upgraded to the new Roland VS-540 printer and cannot get a good print when we use the Avery 1005EZ media. I have been in contact with Avery and Proveer about this and they dont know what else to try. We have the latest profile from Avery and tried both sign and display as well as...
We often get asked to make decals and have done so using Avery 1005 vehicle wrap and laminating it. I works but if you don't laminate then they are too stretchy. Is there a vinyl that can be used that makes good decals that will last that doesn't need to be laminated?
I am trying to get a good to red to black gradient in illustrator and the center where the two meet ends up as an ugly gray, is there a good combination that looks good?
I had in my CS5 an option under my file menu that was named "send to signlab print and cut" this was obviously installed when i installed signlab. My problem is that I just upgraded to cs6 and this option is gone and it was a very valuable short cut. Anyone know if there is a way to install...
