  1. Thinking about getting a Big Squeegee?

210's a little bit nastier to apply with the big squeegee due to the thin backing on it. Dale posted a few techniques on a thread regarding it a little while back at the following thread. http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65006 Basically you will need to pull the backing from...

  5. where can I get this bracket?

I've never ordered direct from JRS, but I know Johnson Plastics and JDS Industry both stock a lot of JRS's frames.
  6. Hey guys, anybody know this font?

Looks like someone tried to cut vinyl by hand to me based on the jagged holes and such. I'd ask more about it from whoever, then probably give them a condensed font with an added rectangle to the side of each letter as a substitute like below.
  7. Customer Complaint -"Sign Flickers"

I bet $5 that someone's going to be upset next Thanksgiving. "I ain't buying no new lights for the house again this year, they should've been in the damn sign!"

  10. Need help with network in the shop..

Generally this involves getting them all on the same Workgroup. The procedure varies depending on the OS and "Views", but generally it can be found by Right clicking My Computer, going to Properties, then to "Computer Name", then click on "Network ID", set every computer up for the same...

  14. trouble opening files

The american custom logo blah blah file looks to be bogus, 666 bytes is kind of a strange file size, it just contains a bunch of plaintext inside of it as well, no real header format for any filetype I know. The other AI file opened fine in illy and draw for me. The PDF opened fine as well...
  15. Setting up CutContour in X5

Here's a list of things I've seen/read about with the cutcontour spot color not associating properly: Make sure you're running Versaworks as an Administrator (right click on the Versaworks shortcut, click Run As, then Following User: Administrator). Make sure you've declared it as a Spot...
  16. SP 300 problem!!!!

I would expect it to have fried a chip, but looking at the schematics from the service manual, it looks like there are two fuses right near the USB port. Could get a multimeter out and test those. All of the fuses on the mainboard are SMD, so don't expect to see a big ol buss fuse in there...
  17. SP 300 problem!!!!

Generally when a USB device is plugged in, it will send a set of information to the computer identifying what type of device it is, who the manufacturer is, etc. When it comes up as unknown, it is generally a sign of a faulty cable, or a faulty device. I'd say try a new cable, if that...
