Thanks shovelhead, just what I needed. I was spending too much time redrawing everything.

Is there a truetype font that has the "tail" that is used a lot on athletic shirts/jerseys? I am getting more and more into these things and I hate "drawing" every one.

Denmark is close but the letter are more rounded off as opposed to just rounded corners. The E's look especially different.

I need to match the word "Skeeter" at the top. Just the red portion. Thanks in advance for your help. I am not cutting the word, I am supplying the boat numbers and such and the guy wants me to match the font.
  8. Font ID Help Needed

In Embroidery you can use truetype fonts, but a lot of embroidery softwares have pre-digitized fonts. They are fonts that the software company and predigitized and the software will allow you to put those letters together to form words. It is like "Hand Drawn". And there are probably 12-15...

Rockwell may be as close as I can get but it has serifs that go both way son the top of the "A" and it is more roundish than blockish.
  10. Font ID Help Needed

Yeah I kinda figured that. I do embroidery and I can converty truetype fonts so I was hoping that it would be at least close to a truetype font.
  11. Font ID Help Needed

This has very even defined serifs, all branches are equal and it tends to be a little blockish. It may be an embroidery font but I would like something close.
  12. Wanted to Introduce Myself from S.C.

After I learn how to catch bass in Lake Murray consistently, I am going to head to others, and Lake Wylie will be one of the first on my lists.
  13. Wanted to Introduce Myself from S.C.

I tried to PM you but it says you don't accept PM's. I am looking at the corner of Kennerly and Broad River. There are some store fronts open and their is also a building with a front. I live about 4-5 miles down Kennerly so it would be convenient and their is a lot of traffic.
  14. Wanted to Introduce Myself from S.C.

Hey, I just jumped right in but decided to introduce myself. I am from S.C. and pull for the Clemson Tigers. My claim to fame is that I have been in ALL 50 States and have been to 26 different countries (including Cuba, as a civilian in Havana). I enjoy cooking, especially smoking (or as we...
  15. New Member From Nassau, Bahamas

I got "stuck" in Nassau, Bahamas one time. I was on a mission trip to Cuba about 3 years ago and there is one flight a day from Havana to Nassau and it wasn't going to be a problem, we had a two hour window assuming our flight took off on time from Havana. Well, it was May 1st, and just like...
  16. Adding stroke to fonts on vinyl cutter.

It didn't work for me. I chose my letter, then clicked on "Effects", "Contour", checked the box for "Outside" and then offset 0.03 and steps was 1. I then "printed" to my Mimaki and it cut the letter and the outline. When I click on "View", "Wireframe" I see the double lines. When I click...

Thanks, I will play with it some tomorrow to see if I can figure it out.
  19. Adding stroke to fonts on vinyl cutter.

I posted this in the Mimaki section but I am sure that it is pretty much the same for others. I am new to this and just bought a used Mimaki CG-60ST. We are going to start out doing a lot of the stick figures/high school athletic team decals for the back of vehicles and such. I am able to cut...
  20. Mimaki CG-60ST Question

I am new to this and just bought a used Mimaki CG-60ST. We are going to start out doing a lot of the stick figures/high school athletic team decals for the back of vehicles and such. I am able to cut directly out of Corel, which is great. However, if I add stroke to letters, it wants to cut...
