  2. Market Competition for Latex equipment

HP Latex reminds me electric cars first time they were annouced and launched but the difference with the electric car is that despite the environmental and ecological advantage it coudn't competed with gasoline/diesel cars. HP Latex printers are just about consumables, too much cartridges and...

  5. Question HP Latex 300 Calibration

That's one of "major" problems with HP Latex printers : Color accuracy and print consistency. Creating a custom profile for some media to get the desired result, calibrating, wasting inks/substrates/time and losing money. Many reasons turned me away to buy an HP Latex.

  8. Same day laminating with GS3 inks

Epson SureColor S-Series printers with the PrecisionCore printhead and the UltraChrome GS3 inks deliver better print quality than any other printer in its range. I've seen many Latex printers and their outputs are not even better than Roland or Mimaki. For outgassing time Epson give it 6h only...
  9. Onyx VS Flexi

Onyx and Flexi (depending on the version) are really good RIP softwares but if you want more control in your print jobs and advanced features you should go with Caldera and ColorGATE.
  10. HP 365 latex starting to get head crashes

HP Latex are awful and very bad printers. Personally I trust japanese, german and british tech companies when It come to printing and finishing machines. They're known for building robust and reliable machines.
  11. Are there 3rd party inks for the Espon S60600?

If your concern is about money I highly recommend you to avoid 3rd party inks unless you want to damage $2000 printhead without counting the technician fees. If your concern is about ink volume and print production then you should go with the Epson SC-S60600L bulk ink system...
  12. SAi giving Flexi12 away for free?

Well I want to give my version of this topic : I've had several discussions with the SAi Inside Sales Representatives (EMEA region) and he informed me that the new Flexi 19 (HP Edition) will be bundled with HP Latex printers according to their series. For example : HP Latex Print & Cut Solution...
  13. Opinion Epson Surecolor 40600 vs Roland TrueVis SG

Same for me. The Roland RF-640 is basic entry level printer compared to Epson or Mimaki beside in addition to be an old model. People living in the US can get the Epson SC-S40600 at Grimco for just $8,995. https://www.grimco.com/Catalog/Products/EpsonSureColorS40600Printer
  14. Constant Banner Head strikes

Go with the Epson SureColor SC-S60600 dual CMYK printhead and a built-in take-up reel which is the best I've seen on a machine. The printer is extremely fast, very reliable and accurate color reproduction. You can find good deals at Grimco...
  15. Opinion Epson Surecolor 40600 vs Roland TrueVis SG

The vinyl cutter depends on the size of your jobs. If you cut small stickers I don't recommend you a wide format cutter which will be expensive. I have the Epson SC-S40600 and a Roland GS-24 which is certainly a desktop vinyl cutter but it cuts on many materials accurately.
  16. Nesting with Onyx 19

Did you got Onyx 19 bundled with the printer or you purchased it ? Because I thought Epson provide their own RIP software "Epson Print Edge" or maybe it depends on sales region.
  17. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

More and more users and printer owners ditched the HP Latex for more trusted and reliable brands and models. The HP Latex despite all the services bundled and provided with the printer still lack efficiency when it comes to color accuracy and consistency especially in production mode. Personally...
  18. Question What Printer would you stake your business on?

I've readed an article that HP will invest $200M in new inks and printheads. HP knows there are many issues with their printheads which have an impact on prints like reddish tint, color precision and consistency issues. They are planning to fix those in the next printer models which will be...
  19. Suggestions New Printer/laminator
