  1. Flexi 8 (no key needed?)

It does not make sense unless it's a cracked version. Who did you buy it from, and are you sure it's the full version?
  2. ValueJet refill inks

It's been answered above, but NO! Not until the chip system in the ValueJET can be worked around. I wouldn't risk using a 3rd party system. Also, the Falcon and ValueJET use the same cart type, but the chips are different preventing the machine from recognizing them.
  3. Enduralam laminator?

If you have the most recent model, it works very well. At one time there wasn't a tension knob for the backing paper roll (If you chose to use one), so you could get wrinkles. Since then the Mfgr has installed another tension knob, keeping the friction up. I found this out by speaking to one of...
  4. New to Business (I mean actual business)

That's where I lose it and need the CPA advice. I know a lot of it's not as complicated as it sounds and for some of it comes naturally. Most of the framework of any business is going to be the same whether it's a Sign Shop or Widget Reseller for example. I'm trying to avoid the complex of "My...
  5. New to Business (I mean actual business)

Thanks for the info. I've been reading whatever I can get my hands on. I'll consult with a CPA and see where it goes. I'm sure one day it'll just click and I'll know exactly what to do. (Maybe), In the mean time I'll just keep reading the Posts when I can and keep planning.
  6. New to Business (I mean actual business)

I understand the sign industry from a design angle; this also includes equipment and the supplies required. Where I'm stuck isn't at "what cutter to buy?', but instead, "Should I file as Sole Proprietor, LLC, Corporation?", then when I do decide "How are the taxes handled?", "What do I hold...
  7. Router or Laser Cutter

A Laser actually can be used for ADA Signage, but it requires a lot of calibration at the beginning. The general consensus is to consider a Rotary first. They're usually cheaper and are good for determining if you will need a laser system down the line based on demand. OADesign is correct about...
  8. Epson 4800 with ChromaBlast for sublimation ?

Chromablast and Sublijet IQ inks are made by Sawgrass Inks (www.sawgrassink.com). Chromablast is for cotton and cotton blends. The killer app is....well... that it works on cotton. You couldn't do this in the past. Sublijet IQ ink is dye sublimation for use with polyester garments like the...
  9. anyone know of this website?

It's legal and nothing in hidden costs. We bought our Adobe CS2 from them. My wife was in college so we did it the "correct" way. They ask for your School Name and some other info. The downside, I don't think Adobe will provide support. (of course they usually don't even if you buy it at full...
  10. Do you use a Falcon Jr and VE Q100? Flexi? Can you help me please?

http://www.signwarehouse.com/support/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=16&pcid=6&nav=0,6 Watch Steps 16-18. You shouldn't have to be doing anything "Manual" to the System other then lining up the first Reg. Mark. As far as calling SW, the way I see it, you spent the money. I'd...
