That is what happens with heat assist and cast vinyl. I don't use heat when I laminate cast vinyl for that very reason - the adhesive get's gooey, and I just don't like what it does to the vinyl. I only use heat to laminate calendared vinyl.
  2. Question Need Help with Silvering in Lamination Process

I have to say.... I've read about some wacky practices here, but laminating cast vinyl, and then printing on top of the laminate with UV cured ink is among the top 10 of wacky practices. I would also never try printing a vehicle wrap on our UV printer. I would think the ink would crack. None of...

  10. Week of morons

Age of the geek. You have the power over their lively hood via a website. Sounds like you have an upper hand. I hope you're just venting, (vs whining) but know you have the ultimate control of the situation.
  11. Are you open?

Fear. The reactions to it, always create interesting results to be laughed at by future generations.
  12. Are you open?

Must be a Florida thing. They don't do that up here. Heck if a tree is that big around it's big enough to stand up on it's own.
  13. Making a transition

You quoted Tex.... his business is an anomaly to most of us. But that's a good question...
  14. What numbskulls approve these layouts?

I tried to do some (quick) research on why... I couldn't find anything really. So I'm going to guess they did this to clearly separate the number of the station from the vehicle number? Just a guess.
  15. What numbskulls approve these layouts?

I was thinking they are in a radio contest to win it. Last one standing without removing their hand wins. But you may be right.... they do look like they are praying, or blessing it.

  19. Not sure if I'm using the correct terminology................................................................................

Skeins vary, but they're typically around 50 to 450 grams in weight and contain anywhere from 50 to 1000 yards of cording. Just depends on the thickness and weight of the material. Same think with a hank of beads, it just depends on the size of the beads.
