  1. So is this as good as it gets?

I can't think of any other variables... I even had my voltage checked in my shop by an electrician. I haven't used it to cut a job yet so maybe it's just the internal test that's the problem. I'll run something & find out.
  2. So is this as good as it gets?

This machine has never been used before so I haven't run anything in it. 120 grams is the force that was set when I received it.
  3. So is this as good as it gets?

I received a brand new GX24 from Roland to replace the refurb machine I had received earlier. Details archived here: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77456 This is the result of the on board self test I did before I connected it to my computer. Note the wavy/choppy cut lines...
  4. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

I was dealing with the local distributor but now with Roland. I don't think I can get an upgrade since I apparently can't get anything better than a refurbished gx-24.
  5. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Well, believe it or not it's still not resolved. I'm supposed to be receiving the refurb plotter tomorrow. It's the one they had already sent that gave me a motor error right when I turned it on. So I had to box it back up & return it. It's supposed to be fixed now, I hope. I just don't know...
  6. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

I actually did have it looked at the other day & he said everything seemed okay but I could use an updated breaker box.
  7. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Well, I've been holding off posting until my plotter problems have been resolved but I regret to say that they're not. They say if you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything at all but I know y'all are on the edge of your seats as to what's been going on LOL. Roland in Cali...
  8. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Just so everyone knows I've been VERY pleased with the effort that Roland has put out to make sure I'll be happy with this plotter. Who the heck knows what the problem is with it but I'll tell ya, they really wanna make sure it gets resolved & that I'm happy:clapping: I was hoping that I was...
  9. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

How much did the CX-300 set ya back? Roland is already sending me a new GX-24 so hopefully everything will be okay now!
  10. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Yeah, I don't know what to think anymore... I guess I'll see how the new one does when it comes in & hope for the best! Maybe there's a flaw in the design or a certain part that only affects a few machines???
  11. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Huh, that's how the loaner machine I borrowed is cutting. What brand of vinyl is that?
  12. Need HELP! Wet application

Hi, I started using this stuff called "window juice" for certain glass applications that are just too much to handle doing dry. It's worked pretty well & definitely better out in the sun. Also, the paper transfer tape is a must!
  13. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

    :clapping: :toasting: :thumb:
  14. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Hey all, we had a family emergency with my Grandma but she's stable for now. She's a tough ol' gal. Okay, so Roland in California are replacing my plotter, they've been very helpful & are really wanting to get to the bottom of this too. I still don't know why it got a clean bill from the...
  15. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Sorry, I don't have a pen attachment or else I would try. OldPaint what are your settings on? At 120-140 all I could do is partially cut through the vinyl. I think it's only in one direction & the blade is brand new from roland. I've wondered about the power supply myself. I tried plugging it...
  16. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

At this point I don't think putting a pen in it is going to prove anything. The fact is, is that they gave it a clean bill of health & sent it back & I tried it & that pic I attached is the result...You be the judge.
  17. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Yes. it's exactly the same every time.
  18. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

I did already, I read a bunch of old posts about similar problems before I even posted here & it won't completely cut through the vinyl until 160 & even then due to the skipping it won't completely cut through it.
  19. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Yeah, I've replaced the strip & swapped holders, blades etc... & I was just hoping that with it coming back straight from roland that all of those variables would have been tried & it would be working correctly now but as you can see, no way... It's about to be sent back, but this time to the...
  20. GX-24 problem, am I crazy??!!

Okay, so I got my machine back from the roland service center & this is how it's cutting the self test. All I did was plug it in the wall, put in a brand new roll of oracal 651 red & performed the self test. The one pic is of the stitch pattern the machine makes when it's cutting diagonals & I...
