jtiii ... Is the disputed chargback still just a threat? Have they actually gone through with it? Maybe he was having a bad day, blew up, and after calming down realizes it's partly, if not all his fault for approving the artwork too quickly.
We typically do 6, 8 (and once in a while 12) mil poster paper on our solvent printers. When we need cardstock - same as Pete, we would print it on our UV flatbed.
When he disputes it, show them the email where he approved the order. I don't think he's got a leg to stand on.
We had one a couple of years ago, where my boss fired a customer mid-production on a vehicle wrap. he had paid a deposit, and my boss refunded his deposit (by check) just to get rid...
most material for printing is coated for specific types of printers - UV/Eco Solvent/Latex.... When you buy canvas for printing, do you not make sure it's compatible with your printer?
I've got an S80600 - ours recently fell off too. We haven't had a chance to put it back up there yet - but printing away like normal.
Would love for anyone to chime in on how to adhere it back on... there is another thread about this very part falling off - but haven't had a chance to dig it...
