I would mount the trans remote because that will likely be the part that is likely to fail. The neon (done properly) will be working when the guy has moved or gone out of business. If its 3 feet of the ground I would do flex face as a big seam from a pan face wont look great up close.
We have a router that could do the job in HDU but at that size and material cost what I would suggest is bending up a aluminum pan for dimension. Attach flat cut out letters that are attached with screws from the back side. Prolly to late but thats my 2 cents.
If bobs big sign co. down the street sells stuff lets say 500 bucks as well asthe other shops down the street what rate will you sell for. I am asking this because many a shop will leave a large percentage of money on the table and at the same time bring the cost of the industry standard...
