  4. Adhering plexi on wall, but with face-mounted vinyl on it...

so my only concern was the adhesive of vinyl will hold up the plexi? I usually use hardware or screw them onto wall, so I have never worried about it.

Thanks for the terms. Yes, the printed vinyl will cover the entire 2nd surface of plexi. The sign will be about 20 x 15 inch, with 1/4" thick plexi. No art works yet as of now. my client def wants "printed" media on 2nd surface of plexi, installing directly onto the wall without any...
  7. Adhering plexi on wall, but with face-mounted vinyl on it...

I meant "Face-mount" as printed side of vinyl will be facing plexi. Like photos covered with plexi. I hope it makes sense. FP
  8. Adhering plexi on wall, but with face-mounted vinyl on it...

I have a slight concern for my next project. My client wants to have plexi with face-mounted printed vinyl, then have it directly adhere to wall. It sounded simple but come to think of it, you will be adhering VINYL on the wall and vinyl adhesive will be holding the weight of plexi...

  11. Super fine letters NOT made of vinyl..

So... Don't mean to bump up the old thread, but I got to talk to an exhibition coordinator at the museum and he told me "Transfer letters that Installer rubbed on the walls". I believe he was talking about letraset. Is this still widely practiced in sign industry? From previous replies...
  12. Hanging Plexiglass

Thanks FMG! They have so many nice looking hardware! I personally liked the Clip Clamp. I would like to have it in my studio. :)
  13. Hanging Plexiglass

Thanks John! That's a great idea to make your own hanging hardware. I wanted to use mirror hanging hardware but 1/4" was too thick for most of them. And ones big enough for 1/4" was ugly stainless steel ones and I was sure my client wouldn't approve of it.
  14. Hanging Plexiglass

Gyford Hardware looks like a winner! It looks very professional and easy too. Thanks for the tip! FP

  19. Super fine letters NOT made of vinyl..

Dry Transfer looks like what it could be.... But it will be pretty hard to make a whole paragraph with them, won't it? Unless there is a way to "Print" a paragraph of dry transfer letters. I don't think it was a waterslide as for that the text didn't have the distinct sheen around the letters...
  20. Super fine letters NOT made of vinyl..

Hi Moze I thought of screen printing too, but some of the letters were peeled like vinyls. I touched it and it felt so light as if it were made of paper. I have no clue.
