  1. Our Van Design Help

Thanks all for the feedback. I simply hit brick walls when it comes to our own van. Most of our work is corporate so a lot of the time the artwork comes to us. Perhaps Im being lazy!? Should just get a contractor to do it.
  2. Our Van Design Help

Hey guys Cant decide on our van design at all. Could do with some advice and critique. I want/need something van is blank right now. help appreciated Thanks Steve
  3. Boost Box ECO - Fellers

Only just saw this post through searching tools for the trade. I would no way pay that much money on something like this, as said you could easily rig somehing yourself for a fraction of the cost. That yellow surround is just like those kid play tunnels for the garden. That plus a fan and a...
  4. Window Graphics - Broken Glass

Yeah I know, haste clouded care, downgraded to a hairdryer for the rest. We qare very busy just now and all hands on deck, so was out myself on installs. Perhaps I should stay at the office.
  5. Window Graphics - Broken Glass

Hey all We have been doing window graphics of varying specs for years and years. Today in the cold when removing old graphics, so we could put a rebrand, the laminated window cracked from the heat gun. Luckily it was only a 7ft x 2ft door pane, the rest of the 5 windows were almost 8ft...
  6. Anyone using Sign-Tracker??

Looked into it but not tried as yet, we have been using Estimate for a few years, it does the pricing and job sheets but no scheduling. The price of Signtracker looks a lot more tempting than Signvox. We could do with streamlining our workflow, especially with a new place coming up. Note A lot...
  7. How cold is it where you live?

We're finally seeing a break, as it's already -25C, and should warm up to -20C. Yesterday was -28C, but felt like -40 with the wind chill. Frostbite was a risk within ten minutes. Used to hit -35C without wind chill all the time back home up North, but damn does the humidity down here screw...
  8. How cold is it where you live?

Chilly here in London, -6 on Tuesday, loads of snow (for UK) zero most other time, warming up to 6-7 by the weekend, bye bye snow. We did 15 vans last friday it was -1, wasnt quite outdoors but close, as the building had no walls (barn style) least we were out of the falling snow. Heatguns did...
  9. Wrap Certifications. Is it worth it?

i agree with "no" to certificated, 20 years in the trade and lots of nice photos of our work is all the cert we need. I think emphasis should be on selling and geting more work as business owner, not learning or honing on time consuming production processes, if you cant do it pay a contractor...
  10. Unrolling backing from laminator

Sounds interesting, drawing? photo? We just take the roll outside and unwind on the concrete ground, its kind of fun (sad yeah) until the wind gets it and its wrestle time in the yard. Only this if its a large amount and if we are getting close to using all empty cores.
  11. JV33-160 white ink worth it?

We are in our 5th year with a JV33 and NO to white, not worth it at all unless your work demands it on a very regular basis. The double CMYK btw is two sets of each so less likely to run out in mid print, it doesnt use both sets at the same time. Happy Friday
  12. Our Last Day On Earth!

sorry for repeating myself from another thread but, no one has metioned this. I haven't read up on the mayans, BUT was the world not here before mankind was a twinkle in the eye of prehistoric dinosaur!? Calender and the cycle of the day, month year was all worked to mans benefit to keep...
  13. Its been nice knowing you all

I haven't read up on the mayans, BUT was the world not here before mankind was a twinkle in the eye of prehistoric dinosaur!? Calender and the cycle of the day, month year was all worked to mans benefit to keep track of his time. The fact that the mayan calander rests itself Friday is b****ks...
  14. sign shop from home

This is a dilemma I have right now, although the option to work at home wont be an possible. I dont have the room, a BIG garden for a workshop would suit but I dont have the room. I share a unit on a farm at the moment, its ok, but not ideal for both parties. I am on the cusp of a decision on...
  15. Shop Truck

Looks good, certainly will get the looks. Be good to get your co name on it some where, even just your website.
  16. Adwords

Yeah I did think of that myself, but when typed in it pulls up most stuff for the home so may not attract the right traffic, thanks Hicaliber. Thanks worth a buy I will try it. Spudstr. Thanks for the tip, but I agree with the others, 15-20k is just way way wrong. We are running adwords and...
  17. Rasterlink Rip Files

Afternoon all, hope you are busy and getting bread on the table. Wonder if anyone can give me some guidance on files in the rip. We have had Rasterlink for years and are happy with it. One thing I cant fathom out is files and how long they take to rip. In a case today, we are printing a few...
  18. Adwords

Some great tips there fellas thanks I am not worried about a competitors clicking our ads so much, BIg bro google does get them and they do nt charge for these bad clicks. Yeah industry slang is the one I am researching, or what would any joe put into google. Checking out keyword spy, I...
  19. Edge 2 problems

Maybe a personal thing, just never ever rated em. I may of used the service of an edge more than 10 years agol.Come on they are rubbish for signs and graphics. Only good for labels and small format, even then not the best choice, no? A Mimaki JV33 1370 great kit,
