There are some excellent designers and especially illustrators who are active on 99designs. We have used them in the past with excellent results to help illustrate a logo design we could not pull off as imagined internally.
It's NOT that cheap either. The listing for a logo is $299 and up, the...
Is it possible to insert a carriage return or line break with the text?
In Javascript and many of text formats \n is a linebreak in Visual Basic it's vbCrLf.
Just an idea, I don't have or use Versaworks but it's something you can look up or try. Depending on how the text is handled a \n may...
The logo and type they are using is horrible. The opening ceremony was awful. The olympic flame flower petal thing is equally as hideous. The seats are empty. How did London get this gig anyway?
I will be getting quotes from PP who we used before with good results. I haven't priced it all out including addressing and postage but you all are probably correct about it not being worth the hassle.
One of our customers we did a postcard mail out for years ago is ready to do another one with us but this time it's for at least two mail outs per month for six months.
Last time we let the printer handle the addressing and postage on the postcard but we have to buy lower qty prints and they...
I wouldn't chop it. Even if you wrap the roll tightly to avoid fraying edges and use a high tooth count blade it may not be smooth enough to go through the printer without issue. Slitting is the best and safest option.
Anyone who told you to use indoor printers for more detailed prints, has probably never actually printed a auto wrap or tried to make money from it. Unless it is a show piece you don't need much resolution to make good wraps and any decent outdoor solvent or latex printer will do an excellent...
You didn't just ask a simple question. You simplified an entire process into a single post with multiple generic questions. Like others I don't believe you even tried to search for the answers here or even google. The information on how and what equipment to use for sign making and auto wraps is...
I think he means counseling as in someone to talk to and discuss everything without fear of being judged.
Just because you see a counselor doesn't mean you are mentally ill or crazy.
When was the last time you went to a sign show?
If you are serious about getting a CNC machine wait for a major sign show and go see the different options. If it's just carving then maybe find a contractor or cabinet making show/expo.
I've had good experience just using a printer with pigmant ink and contour cutting it then applying with heat press. They have a decent hand (feel) and stand up to a lot of washing.
I got samples from Anajet last year and wasn't impressed. The machines are so overpriced. I don't see how you...
it is very cool and I'm sure there will be some cool applications in the future.
I really don't find the desktop touch or motion capture stuff very useful for normal person or business use. It's great for a tablet but on a PC/Mac it just makes things harder to do.
Cad and 3d stuff would be...
I use RAID on every workstation now for data drives.
With our last round of new workstations we set them up as follows:
Primary for Operating System and Programs - SSD 120gb
Data Drive - RAID 1 (two drives) 500 or 1TB each
Our two web servers use four 500gb drives configured as RAID 10 (two...
