As a last resort i would have printed it, rescan it in very high quality, then fix the color as much as possible in photoshop and use surface blur(photoshop) to get rid of the dots due to scanning. not ideal but better than nothing...

When you say take care of i take it you mean regular head cleaning? How about if i were to use inks that are cheaper than the original, would that lower the life expectancy of the print head tom?

How about the cost of the printheads as a consumable jack? How does it compare to the rolands(or any eco solvent printer) when you factor in the cost of the print heads? So the eco solvent machines do print on fabric also just with a degraded quality?

heh! You know how things are in cyprus... no real tech support therefore i am going to be responsible for the most part of the servicing. same thing happened with my epson 9800. I am printing for 6 years now and I only called for support once to change the capping station.

I don't suppose you know how often the printhead needs to be replaced as a consumable part of the printer?

Ok this alone is a major drawback for me. why did HP make the heads so fragile? Ho do i get a roland custom profiled?

Even though i don't know, it seems a bit of an exaggeration that a small head strike(i am guessing on the media as it moves left and right) would get the head to need replacement? As i said i don't know but when you say a simple head strike i suppose you mean on the media?

What inks are you using? the originals? or aftermarket ones? how about any clogging issues? indeed i'm leaning more toward the roland due to the price tag, but if i find out that the hp is giving so much more for the price why not consider it as well?
