we have the roland LEJ640. we did our research as Gino suggests and that best fit our needs at the time with that said... it is a good quality printer. we have other roland machines so the rip is the same and we didn't really need much training or have a big learning curve. the price point...
if you are going to upgrade get CS6 or cloud version with anything less you will have trouble opening new files. we have cs6 and already are starting to get the "this was created with a newer version of illustrator and can not be opened" it's not bad yet but as more and more upgrade to the cloud...
i would try to make a jig out of coroplast or cardboard to fit inside the jersey to keep it firm and wrinkle free. then you can put your pins, staples or tacks through that material and then the front of the jersey will sit flat on your autograph board and you won't see how it is mounted. if it...
over the past few years i have done a few of these. on pick up truck rear windows no issues. then i have done a few on ford transits and they all curled up on the edges. first it was because i had calendered lam, then i used the correct lam and still curled up so don't know if it was the glass...
+1 to this. We had an issue with our uv machine and the white wasn't working pro=perly and then it stopped completely, turned out the capping station was not aligned correctly so no ink would go through
who is going to the show? anyone getting together?
i am going down Thursday, leaving work around 3:00 and leaving sometime Friday (unless i win a million $$$$$$ at the poker table then i might stay another night)
yeah encoder strip cleaning is another one forgot about that but don't use cleaning fluid. try just a dry swab first and i think you can use regular alcohol but double check that...i repeat DOUBLE CHECK IF YOU CAN USE REGULAR ALCOHOL! for the head soak you have to lower the capping stations...
i usually try least expensive options first.
manual cleanings....ink renewal......replace capping station....head soak and if none of those take it away i would call the tech to come in. might need a new head but sometimes they can work some magic we don't know about and get the life back in it.
i just use one of my laminators like this unit. depending on how big the finished piece is i either hinge it like shown in the video or i run it half way through and pull the print back, cut the release liner and run it through then i do it with the other half.
i have used oracal 3651 in the past but the size and location of the decal didn't really hit a heavily curved area on the helmet. you can have them pad printed but your set ups are going to kill you.
we would charge about 50-75 for set up and 30-60 for the plate & film + imprint charge (usually...
going to the show on Friday. going down Thursday night and staying at harrah's so i don't have to rush around friday. got the room on booking.com for $63 including tax and what ever other things they threw in.
either way A/C is going down hill. i used to go down every year for a few days with...
you should be able to make the jigs based on your first set up print. you can have someone with a router do it out of plastic and it will be more permanent but you can do it with foam board or sintra.
make your first test print on the carrier board then just glue or use dbl face tape to make the...
depending on the church they make a lot more then you think. you look around the church and see the windows and artwork not to mention all the gold, bronze and chrome. how much do you think it cost just carpet a church? there is a church my my house and the preacher/ reverend drives a dodge...
we used some stuff from fellers in the past. don't get a big call for the paper but it shouldn't be a problem. just have to fool around till you get the right pressure on your blade.
