  1. 4x12 sign material question

Long story short, I don't think you'll find it or a similar product in 12'. Dibond, Alupanel, Polymetal from NUDO... 5'x10' is as big as they go. I believe you can get Alucobond in 12' but it's really pricey, better product but pricey. As far as dealers? Start calling suppliers, our in St. Louis...
  2. Gradient Prints Streaky

gradients Can I ask a silly question here? (I tend to ask a lot of those) If you like Photoshop why not use it to assign the fills? I've always found Corel to be pretty limited with gradients and shadows when it comes to large images, or at least it causes enough problems like the one you're...

  4. Contracting logo

Forgive my "naivéness"?? (is that a word?), Oh well here goes. When a name is this long I like to break the type styles up, too much extra bold italicized, hard on the eyes. And just for OP......................... the house is straight! Just my $.02:biggrin:
  5. How honest are you?

The first caveman that placed his hand on a cave wall and traced around it looked at a fitch and said "It'll never work". It doesn't make any difference what tools you use... either you've got it (talent) or you don't, it's not whether you know what smaltz is but how creatively you use it (yes...

  7. Question about sharpening Router bits

How much do you charge for router time? $100 an hour? More? How many hours will a bit last? A dull bit can cause all kinds of lost production time, breaking, cleanup.... the bit costs what $20.... just throw the stupid thing away, a new bit saves you headaches and will make your boss happy...
  8. Fish Tacos Logo

Just had to play with this a little this morning. Mexican should be bright and fun. Should change the hat to green. Just my twist.:clapping:
  9. painting wooden sign posts

We use cedar posts all the time, accepts paint really good and lasts as good as treated. A little more expensive though but worth it.

  12. Problem with window perf

First and foremost I see you're from Toronto, what was the temperature when it was applied? Toronto in January, I see a problem there, did the customer apply it? How did he prep the window? Did he use heat when he applied it? There are a lot of variables but I would say application to cold glass...
  13. My Gerber HS-15 needs help

Been a lot time since I've had my HS15 but if it starts to move, and its been sitting for a long time probably one of two things, dry bushing or bearing or the starter winding in x or y axis motor is bad. My suggestion for what is worth... hose it down with WD40 and see if it'll loosen up (go...

  15. Coreldraw X4 and Vinyl Cutting

On my first reply I was sitting in my recliner about 1/2 . I apologize, I should have ask these questions at first. I'll bet it'll be just fine out of CD12, you'll either have to just keep CD12 around just to cut out of or update your plotter software, that's why we're still cutting...
  16. Coreldraw X4 and Vinyl Cutting

More information would be good... how long have you had the system? Has it always done this? Have you changed software recently, say from CDx3 to CDx4 (we have to plot out of CD11 because our Fine Cut software is 7 years old)? What plug in do you use to plot with out of Corel?
  17. Updating the website... be gentle

Just a thought, I'm a sign guy... when we needed a web page I thought about it a lot... Joe Diaz (no, he's not paying me for this) did a great job for us. Good sign design does not necessarily translate into good web design, two different medias, two different approaches. I'm busy (and old), I...

Seriously dud (that's intentional) Stacked, you stacked the lettering, you stacked the stupid lettering. Alright that's it, can't this guy be blocked or something. Either that or banish me, block my log on somebody, please. This guy can't be for real. Dave

  20. Coreldraw X4 and Vinyl Cutting

Yes you need to select all the nodes, a plotter needs a "closed shape" otherwise it treats each individual segment separately. When you draw your shape if you begin your next line segment on top of the last point it should join those two points (by default) and if your last point is on top of...
