  1. Roland GX-300 Bad USB connector

Lol, yeah, we bought it used and it has been problematic since we got it. I will see how much it is to repair the connector but only to resell it. Otherwise it's headed to the landfill. We've certainly got our money out of it - looking at buying a new - Summa.
  2. Roland GX-300 Bad USB connector

Our tech guy says there is an energy error and the USB connector, part of the motherboard, is damaged. Our FlexiSign won't recognize the port. Anyone have a used GX-300 motherboard - or a work around? Computer doesn't have a serial port and cutter doesn't have or ethernet port.
  3. Wall graphics

I'm wondering what digital print vinyl/lam (we'll use matte) people like to use for wall graphics. The client's wall (330" x 95") will be painted and ready for application. It does not need to be removable. We have a Roland VG2 540. Also, any advice on the wall paint, ie. latex, gloss, semi...
  4. Roland GX-300 suddenly not working

Many restarts, updates, even upgraded to FlexiCloud as we've been putting it off. Roland page says it's an issue and to revert to Windows X.. but I don't have a spare computer to do that. I am using an older Mac which we're getting work done at least.
  5. Roland GX-300 suddenly not working

I was using Flexisign (12) and the PC screen shimmered. The next thing I knew it would not connect to the Roland GX-300 (USB and serial) cutter. Works on an older version of Mac I still have (thank goodness) but I tried downloading the GX-300 x86 driver and even had an IT guy take a stab at it...
  6. Weeding HTV??

Temp of print and dry heaters while printing? Our material suggests 45-50C
  7. Weeding HTV??

What is your new, better, product if I might ask?
  8. Weeding HTV??

Just tried it on EasyWeed and that seems to be working on 70 pressure. Does this stuff, Roland HeatSoft PLUS, have a shelf life? What would be the difference as the settings stayed the same but the cut/weed is quite different.
  9. Weeding HTV??

100 Pressure cuts through the material so obviously that's too much. It seems any pressure the vinyl will all come up.
  10. Weeding HTV??

Just did a cut on my plotter and it weeded fine at (0 pressure but when I do same testa nd pressure on my VG-2 it doesn't work, all vinyl pulls up, and at 100 pressure.
  11. Weeding HTV??

I will search forum but looking for any easy buttons. Printing on what we think is a good Roland HeatSoft Plus HTV. I have cut set to what is explained as the correct setting but when I weed it it takes the letters with it. These are small and bigger logo type going on our own businesses t-shirts.
  12. Need HELP! Roland vg540

Sound lemony to me. We had some start-up issues with ours. Something about the dampers not filling properly. Went through an entire set of inks cleaning and leaking... Cutting - I did have some paper, or backing, that had got ground into, under, one of the feeder wheels on the lower roller...
  13. Laminator beeps but doesn't turn

I have a GBC WF cold laminator. When I push the forward button the safety signal beeps. I won't start to turn until I turn the speed up to alight max. Sometimes it doesn't turn at all. I usually use the foot controller and it does the same thing with that. I can replace the speed knob rheostat...
  14. Need Help installing perf vinyl getting weird pattern on laminate

Using Arlon optically clear laminate on an Oracal (Oraguard) perf 50/50 vinyl. Looks great straight on but looking from the side there is a distracting pattern where I installed using either a felt side or flat side of a queegie - both do it. You have to apply a fair amount of pressure to keep...
  15. Cutting customer supplied vinyl price

Thank you. I was thinking I would be doing sections at a time.
  16. Cutting customer supplied vinyl price

I have a guy who's a vinyl rep came in and would like us to cut vinyl for him - for a job. What would be a good Sq. Ft. price? Again, he would be supplying the vinyl; which is a window tint. It would be the shape of a wave for about 200'
  17. Pricing: wrapping 42' Hackney beverage trailer

I doubt there is a specific program for doing this type of install but maybe. I think you'll find, in our area anyway, it's pretty competitive, and I think we are too. Many shops undercut each other to get jobs. We'd love to charge by the hour, and we're pretty efficient, but we'd price...
  18. Pricing: wrapping 42' Hackney beverage trailer

We have our square footage price we use for 53' trailers but there would be a lot of fuzty work cutting and trimming around all the doors and pillars. Add a $1.00/sq. ft.?
  19. Need Help Deep contours on wraps

Thanks all. We'll probably do a mix of all of these. We def ned more training but i think with a few helpful videos we'll get by.
