Hi everyone, I've been in the digital printing for quite a long time now, but I have little experience with Rolands. Any thoughts/hints/advice for a Roland newbie? I can return the favor with advice & expertise on HP 9000 or Seiko 64s. Cheers!

Well... i was on 790 with severe problems. The thing is, even though Seiko produced the 790 ink, it had a different formula than the previous Seiko ink, which was flawless. What HP did was change voltages on the PHs. Why, we may ask. I still don't know. I don't think that the ink was THAT...

actually, just found out on friday that the black ink of the 791 kind can be scraped off with a thumbnail off the foil i regularly use. so definitely, don't buy 791 if you can as yet. all i know is that those inks can be mixed without problems, so even if you have to change one or a few...
