  1. Equipment financing options and terms

I use a leasing company that specializes in farm equipment (National Leasing). I don't have the exact details in front of me but if i remember it's pretty much 0% during the terms but buyout is 10% of the amount financed. So my strategy was to put down as much as i could to make the final buyout...
  2. Need Help I'm not understanding this......................................... ??

Speaking of ICC Profiles ... Have you tried saving the same job as an .eps? I remember reading here that .eps files do not have ICC profiles.
  3. Work burnout

Trouble with that is ... Even though it's x3 times the money. Then i am obligated to deliver. That just takes the fun out of the day. It's not why i work Saturdays. I like a quiet afternoon, radio on, working on special projects. Whether for business or for family. No telephone or emails to answer.
  4. Work burnout

Old customers know me ... They know i work on Saturdays. Any time one of them tries to tell me "you can work on it Saturday" my answer is: Yeah ... I am working ... But not on your stuff. End of discussion. :noway: Don't be afraid to tell it like it is.
  5. Work burnout

The ones that "need it yesterday" are usually the ones that don't show up on time to pick up their stuff! Been doing this for to many years to be bothered with that deadline.
  6. Work burnout

When you think about production days. Meaning "How fast can i get this done for you". Never include Saturdays and Sundays. I personally do work Saturday afternoons and do my invoicing on Sundays but no one besides me needs to know that.

  9. how to deal with silicone on trailer

Also. Even if you could wrap over a "coated" silicone, It most likely is a joint where you have to cut the vinyl to separate individual panels. Or else you will develop a ripped effect over time from the stress of two panels moving separately. Might as well remove the silicone, clean it and have...
  10. Office Depot has a large format printer? Good riddance.

If you need to rent out a lift to do one banner installation. That job is not for you. You will end up being to expensive compared to a shop that has one and can just swing over and screw it on the building "lickity split". It's ok to just say no.
  11. What Software Do You Use for Cut Only?

Adobe Illustrator with Roland Cut Studio plugin.
  12. Keeping those fingerprints off vinyl media?

I grab the rolls from the ends. Lift up and carry the roll on one arm while holding one end with my other hand. Never have problems except for mid summer. I get hot and leave a sweat mark on the roll from my arm. Always wipe the first couple of feet with a static cloth before printing as well.
  13. Question Ear Damage from Printers

Quickest solution for you is either ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones.
  14. Texans may not want to print today....

Stay safe down there! I could not imagine having to deal with the cold and not be equipped for it. Like Johnny Best said ... Being cold is miserable ....
  15. Install Checklist

Most important thing for me and my installers is: Even though you finished the job and packed everything up. Before you get back in the truck - DO A FINAL WALK AROUND! I got so sick and tired of losing hammers, levels and even a cordless drill sitting on top of a sign cabinet (street level...
  16. Bad magenta printing on Roland VS 640

Media is cold so you will get that pattern on certain colors. Very noticeable when you print small things. My VS-540 is set to max heat settings 99% of times. Only when i print on something that does not have a backer lining do i lower heat settings. (Banner materials, papers, etc...)
  17. Be safe out there....

Winter tires are mandatory up here in Quebec. Since many/most of you don't have any on it is especially dangerous. I wouldn't have them on if i lived in Texas but i would have them living in New York State.
