  1. Yellow & Magenta mix

What can be wrong if my yellow and magenta mix? (Roland SP540V). When I do a test print, the yellow is not clean, but mixed. Only after one or 2 powerful cleans, or about 400mm of printing, does the yellow become clean. I did manual clean, but that did not help.
  2. Help replacing scan motor

I need to replace the scan motor on my Roland SP540V. Can anybody tell me what settings do I need to check and adjust after replacement? Anything else I should know? And if I replace the feed motor, are there any settings I should check and adjust after replacement?
  3. Roland SP-540V - what on earth???

Solution OK, after much frustration and down time, I think we eventually found the reason for the problem when a tech with a greater than average knowledge and experienced suggested that the feed motor and/or grit roller, might need fastening. The tech forcibly removed the cover from the feed...
  4. Roland SP-540V - what on earth???

My Roland has been driving me nuts for almost 2 weeks now. Never mind what it did to my production! I've attached 3 photos. These are all stamp stickers, 25x30 mm, cut in 5 batches of 250 x 300 mm each accross the width of the material. Roland1 is on the Left of the printer (away from the...
  5. SP540V cutting problems

I've done the calibrations, etc. Can any one tell me what is the function of the Cable flex-cut that is part of the drive unit? Might the problem be there? Also, could it be that I cut the linear encoder 3 mm too long so that it now is not tight enough?

My Roland has been having cutting problems. 7. Missing pages: Service Manual for Roland SP-540V

Is there any one who can help me please? My copy of the service manual was corrupted and I can not see pages 1-11 and 1-12 (pages 16 & 17 of the document). If you can perhaps help me with those two pages, I'll be so grateful. You can mail it to me at redspiral.sa@gmail.com.
  8. Roland SP540V cutting problems

My Roland is driving me nuts. I'm printing stamp sized stickers in sheets of about 255 x 310 mm with one repeat of each job. Cutting is just repeated horizontal and vertical lines. Between jobs (or repeats), there should be a 10mm gap. Onte Right, there is about 2 mm while on the left there is...
  9. Roland VP300 Media skews-Need help desperately!!!!

Solution - media skews After spending a lot of money; a lot of time and having a lot of frustration, we finally found the problem: The casing of the end pinch roller on the left hand side, cracked, and that had the effect that there was less pressure on one side of the media than on the other...
  10. Roland VP300 Media skews-Need help desperately!!!!

Media skews I have the same problem with SP540V - have replaced the pinch rollers; I roll the media down and make sure that everything is square. It skews from left to right (the media moves more to the right all the time. So if I cut 4 sets of whatever in the width of the media, the far right...
  11. Numbering labels

Don't know if any of you had to do this before, but this is how I do it quickly & easily. I use Corel Draw & Excell. METHOD: Open the artwork in Corel Draw. Work on the full printable width of your media and create a lay out of as many labels as will fit and as many strips as you prefer...
