I run cleaning fuild i time in 6 months in my 1614. You have to see if your cap seals good with your print head so the cleanning is effective, you can check it by pumping with a syringe .

I bought a cheap printhead DX5 from ebay for 500€ but its waste of time and money .It worked only for 2-3 days. Then i pay 1600€ for the original . So the printhead cost for me that time 2100€. Dont make the same mistake mate

My 1614 use DX5 epson print head. I take it our i push flush with syrige to all chanels, when it was completely clean i left the head for 24 hours insite the flush in a small cup, the next day i push again with syringe flush insite and then magic... it works again without missing nozzles.But you...

Hello If the head stops in the same place every time clean the tape in that place maybe fingerprints in that position

You have missing noozles, fix them with cleanig the print heads and the you need to adjust the printhead position (horizontal and high or low it depents what yoy are using)

I had simmilar promblem and the reason was the place that the head was spitting, the sponde needed change was hard like wood.

I was using TRIANGLE MLD(mild) in vj 1614 for 2 years without any promblem.Then they change the last year they make the new MLD ink and immediately i start having promblems with reds and banding in magenta even if i use highet quality printing, the printhead need more cleaning and so i stop...

I stop yesterday the triangle MLD inks (mild), because a serius banding problem in magenta, now i put VENUS (mild) inks...i let you know the results

Edx I use EDX on mutoh vj 1614 with dx5 epson printhead and i had serius promblems (close nozzles).My dealer was providing MLD and say to me that the EDX will work fine but this was a lie. So i return to MLD now
