If you’re cutting stripes, letters, graphics etc. remove the film before you send to the cutter. If you apply the transfer tape to the film, it will only lift the film, not the vinyl and you will have to premask all over again.

I second YelloTools. Mine has lasted an extremely long time and you can flip it over as well.

When you're in the Rip-Queue have you tried selecting: >File >>Manage Cutters and then selecting the Graphtec from there?

Hmmm. So it shouldn't be a problem. Yes, you may have a problem with a drift. When doing long contour cut, as with any contour cut, making sure everything is lined up absolutely straight is what has helped me. I've attached a couple of photos of how I make sure everything is lined up straight...
