This plotter is almost new. When I cut it starts at the start point, lower left & stops at the lower right when the cutting is finished. All of a sudden it started rolling off vinyl after the cutting is done, instead of stopping at the lower right stop point. Any ideas anyone? I haven't changed...

99% of my applications go on dry. If I get a few large bubbles I poke them, the tiny ones the sun will suck down.

I have had no problems with shinerite over the years for temp stuff. Just that the white letters want to stay stuck to the background vinyl when weeding, even tho it's cut all the way thru the vinyl. I have to mash down the letters with fingers while weeding. The other colors I don't have to...

I use Shinerite vinyl for banners and all the colors seem to weed easy but the white. Does anyone know a brand of white 3 mil vinyl that weeds easy? Thanks for info!

Might try 3M cast vinyl next time. Never had a problem with 3M products of any kind.

I've had good luck weeding on most of the colors. Shinerite "white" has never weeded easy for me and I always have to up the down force on the blade compared to the other colors.

Can anyone please tell me what font is used in chairking. I found the other fonts but chairking is giving me problems. Thanks for any help. http://www.chairking.com

I had force set at 14g and changed it to 13g. Seems letters do not weed as easy on 13g as 14g. I just got this plotter a week ago and started with 10g and worked my way to 14 before getting an easy weed. I have the blade holder depth set to the 3rd notch (3mil) does setting it at 3.5 actually...

I appreciate the help. My Ioline for almost 13 years never done this but a few times maybe. I love that plotter but it has gotten to were it will not cut tiny letters anymore w/o chewing them up. Thanks again folks.

I used my Ioline plotter for 13 years and almost never had this problem. With the new Graphtec I got problems applying vinyl. The backing paper will tear in half on some parts of some letters and I have to pluck them off with my fingernail before I squeegee them down. Would I need less or more...

One person on signs 101 said he cut 1/16" letters with his graphtec plotter. I personally would have to see it to believe it.

Might try krylon crystal clear acrylic spray paint. Paint some blobs with no detail on scrap material and TEST first for a reaction, lifting, crackling etc.

I'd be careful if they say, "fraction over cost". If they are not making hardly anything off the job I'd be worried if the job gets done on time or at all for that matter.

Always backup. If not everyday at least once a week. If you spent hours on a design save it and backup to a second drive soon as the design is finished (don't wait till later!). If you have an unrecoverable crash an hour later at least you won't have hours of work to do all over again. I keep...
