I have a FMJ-1600II laminator that I have been using for 6 years now and I am having an issue recently. I use it to lay 4x8 sheets and 4x10 sheets. I use 3m IJ35c-20 with 8520 over-laminate for most jobs. The issue has been that the last 5 or so signs I have run through have come out perfect on...
Ok, I was thinking it was generational thing. My other JV33-130 has the fuse holder like the photo on the left. It is also blown, so as soon as I have replacements here I will get them installed and see what I get.
Thank you for the fast reply!
Mimaki JV33160
Went to change the head last week and then the printer would not power up at all. Relays click, but nothing. So I do a ton of reading. I figure it is most likely the head fuse. And this is where the confusion starts...
From everything I can find online the head fuse is a...
Quick run down:
All of the sudden today I have RIP and Print showing registration marks, however once I send it to Production Manager there are no registration marks.
I recently had to delete the Mimaki JV33-160 from Production Manager and add it back in due to a USB issue I was having. It...
I have a FMJ-1600-II and use it for laying vinyl on large panels. It has been good for about a year and now every time I lay vinyl on a panel it has bubbles on the right half on the panel. I have tried to level the rollers as best I can by feel and it still happens.
Do anyone know what could...
I come here to hang my head in shame and lift high the dunce cap and place it upon my head.
It turns out that it was not in fact my printer making the beeping sound. It was my UPS that I have attached to the printer shouting that I was overloading it with all three heaters turned on. I learned...
No, there is no error code. I also checked the ERROR LOG in the settings and there is nothing recent. The last code is from when I didn't have all my ink in like months ago.
O.K. I have another thread right now, but this is a totally different problem, thus a new thread.
I had a broken post heat thermistor so I ordered a new one and it got here today. I got it installed with no issues. So I boot the printer back up and go about setting the temps on pre/print/post...
So the newest roll they sent is exactly the same as the last bad roll. The manufacture dates are months apart too. I am trying to tweak my print profile to get a good print without it being wet so I can get a few jobs out the door.
EDIT:
I was just sitting thinking through the day before this...
::UPDATE::
After doing more test prints than I ever cared to do, I have figured out that this is totally the vinyl. I put in a scrap roll I had left over and it printed fine. I put back in the new roll and BOOM, crappy prints again.
Has anyone reading this ever had a roll of vinyl do this? I...
Setup: JV33-160 running Mimaki ink, Flexi 12 and Production Manager.
Last Friday I had cyan dripping all over the place, badly. I take a look at the dampers and I notice the left most cyan is bulging out. I put a tiny bit of pressure on the clear cover and it squirts cleaning fluid on my hand...
That sounds to me like your solenoid is dead. You might be able to check from the solenoid all the way back to the board to check for a break in the wire. I doubt it though.
Are you capable of using a multimeter to diagnose the problem?
So my morning has been a fun one. I figured I would share this in case anyone else ends up dead in the water.
On your JV33 printer you have two head lock screws. These are one of the weakest parts know to humankind. They are made of (as best as I can guess) compressed baby powder held together...
