I have four Graphtec FC9000's and I'm using Flexi. I mainly cut laminated adhesive vinyl, cut through the backing. I'm trying to figure out a way to automate the process a bit by using barcode, but I'm running into a problem with cross cutting jobs while running barcode. The graphtec will cut...
Hey all, I have an Epson s80600. I'm getting random black dots and sometimes small lines of black ink mainly on the left side of the print. It is consistent on the left side mainly. Head height changes did not fix the problem. Printheads were recently replaced. I did cleanings through the...
I'm looking to change vendors for our eco-solvent printable specialty materials such as Holographic, Glitter, Gold, Chrome etc.
Who are you using and why do you use them? Can you bleed cut those materials when printed with eco-solvent? TYIA!
I am looking for a vendor with an eco-solvent printable holographic vinyl that meets the criteria below. Anyone have experience? Looking for 54" wide rolls (not interested in the Halliday stuff) but a smaller width roll won't be overlooked. Also looking for a glitter and possibly other...
I was told from my equipment supplier than the heads in my s80600L would last 2-3 years at the volume I print (6-8 hours per day). Within 10 months I started getting horizontal banding in a couple channels. Heavy cleaning cleared it up and it would print 5-6 feet, then start banding again...
So a buddy of mine purchased an eco solvent printer from China. The brand is Mamage. CMYK. Not built great, but has the DX5 printhead. The software sent with the printer is absolutely horrendous. Its like an overwhelming print driver you would use with your home printer. I was told Flexi...
I figured out a workaround. In Flexi Sign & Print you can add contour marks in the design software. I can add create a box around the reg mark and add an underbase to it, and map it to white.
The only PITA is you have to send the file with the actual contour lines removed when printing, and...
I am trying to print a white (or grey) bounding box around the black Graphtec registration marks, within Flexi 21. There is an option to print those boxes in any colors, to help aid in reading the marks when printing on highly reflective materials. My problem is I require white ink to be...
I use Flexi 21. It has an option to add an underbase to an object. I use that to lay white under any color when printing onto clear films. In PM, you can preview the white channel before you send it, and it shows the white ink area in the preview. The modes for the white in PM are set to...
For the life of me, I cannot get this Epson s80600 to lay white ink down. The steps i've taken are below. If anyone can see that I may be missing a step or a setting, please chime in!
Epson s80600L
Flexi Sign & Print 21
Load raster image (PNG) into Flexi Sign & Print 21
Add a solid underbase...
Color Management Tab in Production Manager is as follows...
Under color mode in Flexi, it shows
Print Mode:
Color
Color + White
Color + White 2 Layers
Color + Metallic
Color + Metallic 2 Layers
Color Mode:
CMYK (8bit)
Can you explain how the Epson driver intercepts the data from Flexi and...
They took the s80600 away when they delivered the new s80600L. The take up is working properly on this one. I feel it had something to do with whoever did the installation to be honest lol
I just had an s80600L installed and I am using Flexi 21. They loaded a bunch of CMYK only profiles into the Epson Edge Dashboard (not sure why CMYK only),
because I am running CMYK LC LM LK R OR + White. When I reached out to them, I got nothing but crickets. The tech had some time and...
I recently took delivery of an Epson s80600. The training is coming when the second one arrives, so the training was very basic and we did not go over the take up reel.
I feel confident enough to use it without the training. So I set it up and clicked it to auto. For some reason, it does not...
I've put a decal on one of my coffee mugs at home, which always goes through the dishwasher. It was printed on General Formulations Concept 220. I couldn't even count how many times its been through the dishwasher. No signs of coming off at all. The layer of adhesive thickness I don't know...
The 800 series HP Latex printers print a roll in less than half the time it takes on my 300 series with the same quality result.
So it boils down to if you want quality over speed. If its things like small stickers/decals, then I would go for quality. If you need
faster production, buy two...
One big difference between HP Latex and Epson's Resin printer is probably a big factor -- the printhead and droplet size. Its variable on the Epson, and can go as low as a third of the droplet size. This is what HP needed to do for some time now but they cannot achieve it with thermal printheads.
