Thank you everyone for your help. I learn so much from everyone here. I slowed the head speed to 700 and ran uno-directional and it turned out beautifully.

I have never slowed the head speed down so I’m not sure how to do that but it is running 720x1440 in versaworks with I think 8 passes.

What would you like to see with the artwork? It’s very simple, vector based in illustrator, just black with a contour cut line.

I will try the head soak and see if it changes at all. Otherwise I will change the head. I had one head changed out earlier last year but that was because it just stopped working. I’m still pretty new to this stuff so not aware of what different test patterns mean. Thank you for your replies...

Figured out the issue, it actually ended up doing it again and went through and cleaned the encoder strip. It was pretty bad, I wiped a lot of gunk off of it. Was actually really surprised how much was on there because it didn’t even look dirty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
