  1. Hi-tac(?) vinyl with thick adhesive?

Thanks everobody. I have ordered samples of all your suggestions. :) It's been some years since i used Arlon 8000, and my supplier suggested Arlon 8200. I'll ask for samples of both. 3M 8624 seems hard to come by here in Sweden.
  2. Hi-tac(?) vinyl with thick adhesive?

I know this is a long shot, but: I just removed printed and laminated vinyl from concrete crash blocks. The adhesion was the same on both concrete and reflective areas and was pretty easy to remove. It feels more "rubber-y" than most vinyl. Customer says its been on there for three years and...
  3. My old squeegee and me

Normally i throw them away when they're uneven. But for some reason i've forgotten it became a thing to see how long i could use this one.
  4. My old squeegee and me

I've done it so much that its getting to small to be comfortable.
  5. My old squeegee and me

I was just thinking that i should nail it to the wall in my office :D
  6. My old squeegee and me

That's just cheap printed vinyl with my personal "logo" to make it look a little better :)
  7. My old squeegee and me

I have finally decided to retire my old 3M PA-1 squeegee. It has been my companion for over 18 years and seen a lot of action, but now its time to let go. If i straighten the edges again, it will just become too small. Admittedly i've kept it more for fun than any practical reason, but it's a...
  8. Soften light with vinyl?

Tjena från Strängnäs :) I'll order some 5701 from Spandex and check.
  9. Soften light with vinyl?

One of my biggest clients emailed me this question: "Can you soften the light in my office with some kind of vinyl?" Has anyone done somethiing similar? I'm thinking that it might be enough to put white vinyl over it, matte not to stick out in the ceiling.
  10. wth is wrong with people?

I do this all the time. Surprisingly few get the comparison
  11. How long does it take you to letter a truck?

I haven't thought of that, but that explains a lot. I see crooked things everywhere since i got bifocal glasses, but never made the connection! But with longer installs i first measure, then step back to doublecheck and install it with markers along the way, so it doesn't really affect my work.
  12. Show Off Your Shop >> FireSprint Shop Tour

I really miss working with Zund machines. I used to work at a place with three different Zunds and all the tools. They are truly amazing.
  13. Frosted vinyl install help

I never found än air release frost without the (for me) annoying pattern in it. But I have never tried or seen GF 790.
  14. Frosted vinyl install help

I would put transfertape on the parts with details, and then install with minimal amount of water. Then let it sit for as long as possible and remove the tape carefully. The eagles i would probably install without water.
  15. Bubbling vinyl?

Thanks. Did they say if it's only when they are new or if it's a constant thing?
  16. Bubbling vinyl?

    No, just an ordinary box.
  17. Bubbling vinyl?

Just heard back from the customer. It was brand new when it was decorated. Its on all four sides, but, yes, I think it's cheap vinyl.
  18. Bubbling vinyl?

That is kinda the case here. They just started to let me do their signs and vehicles. It would be good if I could fix this and bad if I said i could and then failed.
  19. Bubbling vinyl?

I cut of a small piece in an good area and it's not air release. It felt stiff, like cheap calendered (spelling?) vinyl.
  20. Bubbling vinyl?

Only air came out. I worded that badly. I blame it on not beeing used to think and write in english. They bubbles won't come out with a good result because it has expanded to the point that there's to much vinyl to press it back whitout wrinkling. So instead of me trying to pop and heat...
