I have seen this addressed in the Forums a couple times however nothing seems to be helping my situation .. here is a breakdown of what happened and what I have tried to fix it ..
Upon Set Up the cutter carriage would move the length of the machine as
normal, however it did not read the left pinch point position, but
appeared to read the right pinch point twice resulting in a 0.0 reading
for the material length.
In trying to fix this I have -
-Cleaned the encoder strip and then replaced (had a back up)
-Cleaned all areas around the pinch wheels as well as the rollers themselves
-Cleaned and then replaced the pinch wheel sensor (had a back-up)
-Cleaned the cutter sensor
-Re-seated all connectors that I thought might effect it (after killing
all power of course
-Performed a limit initialization (a few times)
-Kicked it, Cried a little and Screamed at it
Then I re-seated the Ribbon Cable (Cut Cable) and upon doing that I noticed there was
some damage around the area where it enters into the machine and connects
to the board. I pulled it out a little bit and flattened it out. Now it
stops to read both pinch wheels HOWEVER I get a Right Pinch Wheel Error even
though it is in the correct position. Any thoughts on this? I have been down for 4 days now!
