0109 ERRRRor VG540

We have a VG-540. We are getting a 0109 error. This happens every time a manual cleaning is attempted. After the cleaning, it prompts "Finished?", and as soon as Enter is pressed, the 0109 error comes up on the screen. The service manual says to change the wiper motor, which we have done.
Still getting the same error.
Any ideas? The sensor seems to work - the wiper does zero and then moves in anticipation of the head return after manual cleaning.

Need to make sure the wiper rotates with power off. Then perform the wiper adjust per the service manual. Check the sensor in sensor mode. Most likely not the motor, they rarely fail.
Make sure nothing is hitting the wiper in the liquid tray, and the sensor flag in not hitting anything.

I had this many times in my old RE640, first time we called the tech, but charged a lot, we paid, now I now how to fix it, when you get the error is because it does not complete the cycle for the wiper as it is mentioned, but all you need to do is remove the cutter/knife, then turn on the machine and after is complete, attach the cutter and you are done. This is if you have a print and cut, but if is just the printer, I do not have an answer.
