3m question

We're using Oracal now and considering moving to 3m. We have a 30" machine and 3m (Fellers) only offers IJ180Cv3 in 30" (I think). 1.) Will the Oracal 290 we use work on 3M? 2.) If we get the 3M Lam (8518) will it work with the Oracal? We'll still have Ortacal as it is less expensive and we use it for other decals.

Yes and yes. Neither manufacturer will honer their warranty if you mix and match brands, but they'll work fine. Just always use cast with cast, never put calendered on cast.

To answer the vinyl/lam question: YES you can mix brands on vinyl and lam, but NEVER use calandered lam on CAST vinyl. It is ok to do the reverse, though. We have used avery 1260? lam over IJ18cv3 many times, and vise versa with the 8518 over the Avery 1005 EZRS.
