3M Vinyl with Blue Adhesive Backing?

Hoping someone one here might be able to help us out? We are installing permanent vinyl over metal panels and had ordered 3M IJ35c to use with the 3M 8510 Matte Laminate. Installers got about half way on the project that is 120’x10’ and they said all of a sudden the material felt noticeably different? They said it was much more aggressive and upon further inspection said that the 1st half of the project that went smooth the adhesive was a blue kind of adhesive color and then on the different material it was more of a grey back adhesive? In the 3M guide for IJ 35c it does say grey back adhesive. So my question is, does anyone know which material is which? Both seemingly different materials came in boxes labeled IJ 35c? Thoughts?

IJ35C Has only ever been grey adhesive.

3M Doesn't specifically make a blue adhesive... is the product you're putting on blue? 3M Pretty much only uses grey / clear adhesives... so if your installer is saying it's blue, it'd have to be a blue vinyl / clear adhesive.

Are you sure they arent talking about a blue liner? Avery uses a Blue liner on some of their materials... but they also don't use a blue adhesive, AFAIK no company does.
