Hi all!
I've got a customer who wants to hang a huge banner below this sign. Actual interior dimensions are about 44' x 16'. They're fine going a bit smaller for the banner, maybe 40 x 12.
We can do all the things -- pole pockets + conduit + notches + lots of tie downs. (client will be installing - he has the crew for that)
Question is... for a double-sided banner of this size that needs to last "as long as possible" (e.g. 1 year). What would be the best material? 18oz w/ slits (cringe, but might be useful for "this" application), or 2 single-sided mesh banners? I'd probably lean toward the 18oz w/ slits, and probably have them fashion weights in the bottom pole pocket, perhaps some spring loaded straps on the side so it could have "some" flexibility in strong winds.
Looking at this frame, I highly doubt we have to worry about its ability to withstand the extra wind load.
Thoughts?
