Anyone Printing & Cutting From Mac M Processors (Non-intel chip)?

I am due for a new computer. I highly prefer Macs. But the new ones running Apple silicon worry me that the plotters/printers drivers may not work? Is anyone successfully running a new Mac and designing/cutting/RIPing? I currently run Windows through Parallels on my old Mac and everything works great.

Parallels is supported on Apple M-series processors. Why not get the new Mac you want and just keep using your same setup?

From what I've heard (mostly from ChatGPT) even if our software (CorelDraw, CoCut, FlexiSign) install, drivers become an issue. Apparently thats the hiccup, sending from the new Mac/Parallels to printers and plotters. I was wondering if anyone had any verified success stories.

I am having this issue right now....bought a new mac and can't get the printer to connect through parallels. If anyone knows anything please let me know.

Why is it that you need to run parallels. You should be able to run everything connected to your Mac with the right software.

You can run everything from the Mac without parallels. You just have to get off Microsoft’s tit.

Versaworks 7 is the only version compatible with a mac . My printer is too old and doesn't run on anything after VW5.5.

If you don't want to upgrade your printer or get a different RIP, then if your old Mac has an intel chip in it run windows on it and VM5.5. If you want to run from your new Mac run Microsoft Remote Desktop and connect to your computer running windows.
