Application Tape

What's the best application tape to use for masking H.P. cut vinyl that will lay flat? I've be told I should use 3M scps-2 or scpm-55. ( I think that's the right #'s)
These decals are for a local company that sends them to their other locations and may be in storage for a few months before installing.
