I'm looking to install 3M™ Scotchcal™ Translucent Graphic Film 3630 on some large outdoor glass windows. For a number of reasons this application would be easiest to apply to the exterior. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience installing 3M™ 8170-P40 60/40 over top of 3M™ Scotchcal™ Translucent Graphic Film 3630? I've tested it and it seems to stick well enough, I'm just wondering if it will continue to hold up in the elements? I'm in the northeast so winters can be tough. The 3M™ 8170-P40 60/40 pieces would be approximately 40"w x 1'h. Would I be better off applying the 3M™ Scotchcal™ Translucent Graphic Film 3630 to the interior of the window and the 3M™ 8170-P40 60/40 to the exterior so that bot films are contacting the glass as opposed to vinyl on vinyl? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
