Architectural drawing analyzer for estimators

Hey everyone,
I work at a sign shop in NJ and built a tool that reads architectural drawing packages and pulls out all the sign specs automatically: types, dimensions, materials, mounting, quantities, everything. Generates a full proposal-ready breakdown.

Our estimator has been using it internally and it's cut our quoting time from a few hours down to about 10 minutes per package. It's still in the early stages so I'm looking for a few shops that do architectural work to try it out and give me honest feedback.

Check it out at architechquotes.com - happy to answer any questions or do a quick demo for anyone interested.

Hi,

I am interested in your software for extracting information from architectural plans, specifically for signage and wayfinding projects. I have a few questions regarding its capabilities:

  • Language & Units: Does your software support documents written in French? Additionally, can it accurately process and interpret measurements in metric units (millimeters, meters)?
  • Document Types: In our workflow, we often work with two types of files: a text-based specification document (the "devis") and the architectural drawings themselves. Can your software read and cross-reference information from both types of documents simultaneously?
  • Workflow: If the software cannot automatically read certain elements, what is the typical workflow? Is there a manual override or a specific process for "teaching" the software how to interpret unique symbols or notes?

Hello,

Thank you for the response!

Great questions! Here's where things stand:

Language & Units: I just made a small change to incorporate other languages including french.

Document Types: Currently it reads architectural drawing PDFs. Supporting a text-based spec document alongside the drawings is a really interesting use case - the cross-referencing would definitely improve accuracy. That's something I'd love to explore.

Workflow: After extraction, all specs are displayed in an editable table so you can review, correct, or add anything the AI missed. There's no "training" feature, its trained to grab specific specs related to what would be in a signage quote.

Would you be open to a quick demo so I can better understand your workflow? I'd love to see an example of how your devis and drawings work together.
