Are all grommets created equally?

I've got a grommet press that I purchased through lexjet. I have a #2 die on it. Lexjet grommets are a little pricey.


Do you think a #2 grommet from a different manufacturer (stimpson for example) would work with this machine?

In my experience grommets are not the same, even if they are same number. For example, i was buying press & grommets from BuyGrommets (US) and after our dollar went kaput in Canada here, i started to buy them locally here, they still work but they don't sit in the press tightly, they move around a bit.
