Attaching A Panel To PVC Posts?

What's the best way to attach a 1/2" or 3/4" thick MDO panel to two standard 4"x4", white, PVC posts? I considered U-Brackets from harbor sales, but they seem kind of ugly with the bolts and everything. I considered routing a channel, but the panel would be kind of loose in there.. any suggestions???

They are mostly a carving company but they also sell blank kits that you can letter with vinyl
Have them paint the background a color... it always looks nicer than a white background
