Auto dealership changeable copy

I'm looking for a material that can be used for changeable pricing that a dealership would like to use on their cars. Is there a static cling printable material that is used for metal surfaces or perhaps any suggestion would be helpful.

Thanks

I would think any low tack / repositionable material would work

we have used Photo Tex in the past with good results

We did magnets for a local dealer a few years back, they still use them to this day.
It was a bear to cut the numbers out but it works great for them.

The local GM dealer just uses removable cut vinyl they get from their in house supplier....I recall them saying each piece was under 5.00....They used, removed and threw them away.....

Magnets only stick to steel. Increasingly, cars are made from alternative materials. It should also be obvious that magnets won't work on glass. (windshields are where most pricing info is displayed)

We have a local dealer who bought a plotter and was thrilled with how much they "saved" by sticking prices on the side of the car themselves. Then I talked to the detail guys and found out how much time they were spending peeling 6-month-old letters off cars. Apparently whoever was putting the vinyl on doesn't know that there's such a thing as removable vinyl. Listening to the detail guys complain about the hours there were wasting on removal made me feel at least a little better about losing the work to an in-house deal. Oh, and we still get to do anything that needs more than one color.

Our local dealers always display on the sides not the glass. The magnets have worked great for them. Yes as vehicles are made from more alternative materials we have done other things for them, but they use the magnets 90% of the time with no issue.

We did some samples for a client trying to mass market an interchangable, reusable graphics system for prices, specials, etc. to the auto dealer market.

I tried this stuff: DRYTAC ViziPrint[SUP]®[/SUP] Impress and the material is amazing. It doesn't work with static, its got zillions of nano sized suction cups manufactured into the back of the material. The material is pretty stiff like a polyester, so you don't get the puckering and floppiness of static cling material. It took the ink really nicely and contour cut fine once we dialed in the right cutting pressure.

After that, we used more of it for some temporary auto clings for a local charity we do work for. They put them on both the side windows and doors panels and they stayed on even while being driven around for two weeks.
